Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I have worked off and on for Adecco for several years now. I received very high marks for my exemplary work while with adecco, and have ended multiple contracts, and made this cash cow tons of money as an employee.

Recently I had been commuting out of the area because work was so hard to find in my area. There had been an incident a year or so back where I had to quit and assignment with little to no notice. It was a shock for Adecco who had seen me have a flawless work record at that point. I apologized, and did my best to explain the situation. We hadn't talked in 6 months or so when a while back Adecco told me they "may" have found a job for me.

I trust Adecco and have had good experiences with all but one of the staffing consultants that works there. I was speaking with this staffing agent off and on, and it looked like she was going to hire me back. But at this point I was not informing anyone, because it was up in the air.

Then I received this email ...

Jeffrey, I have a position available. I tried reaching you by phone, but I think you have changed your number. Please contact me asap. Best,

Sr.Staffing Consultant

Adecco

Better work, Better Life

I wrote back and spoke with Velma via email, and then called and left a message for her, with my contact information. I then sent her another email asking for an update , and she wrote me back the following:

Worry not, Jefferey. I will call you before the close of business today.

Sr.Staffing Consultant Adecco Better work, Better Life

But this call never came, and I had already informed my current agency of what was going on with Adecco and my potential assignment. I was then told by Officeteam that I needed to give my one week notice, since I had planned on taking the job when Adecco called. Like they had called so many time before. Now I got a call yesterday at the end of the day telling me that Officeteam has decided to "pull" me from the assignment, and that next thursday will be my last day. I started crying and begged for my job back, and they said that they needed to make sure that I didn't "burn any bridges" by taking the job from Adecco and just quitting. Which I never said I would do.

I have called twice, and emailed three times to the Senior Staffing Manager over there, and she has completely ignored me. Now I am out of a job, and it is all their fault!! They lied to me and promised me employment, and that never happened. I never even got a call back, telling me I didn't get the job. I personally feel there was a call made from one staffing agency to another regarding me, and feel I was intentionally lied to and made to believe I was getting a job. Like I had gotten so many many times before. No followup nothing, Now I am screwed!! I'm going to lose at least $2500 dollars worth of work because of this, and Adecco didn't even have the common courtesy to respond to my multiple calls for service.

I believe this was a direct retaliation for the assignment a while back that did not work out. Ever since that assignment, my service from this agency has been shakey at best. Now I am completley screwed out of a job, and will be working twice as hard to find something new, but Adecco should be responsible for what they did to me. it was malicious and wrong!!

Please help me to expose this crooked company, and this evil staffing consultant.

Help,

Jeffrey

Don't ask why, I don't know, but it seems like in my experience with Adecco in the past, they went through an annual turnaround in their office. This was a long time ago but it seems like they are pulling the SOS. I had great years with them even with turnarounds, then suddenly a very bad year with a new bunch with some serious attitude problems. Why Adecco allows such hostile contentious people to deal with people is beyond reasoning. Some of them get a hostile streak for whatever reasons and it only gets worse when the economy goes south. Suddenly the bad apples get off on this neo-n**i power trip and start acting like arrogant cherry-pickers. I am willing to give some agencies and individuals the benefit of the doubt, as they are trying to place new applicants while keeping older temps busy. Sometimes that is the case as well. Usually though I can tell when that is the case and when they are playing mean schoolgirl games.
