Admiral Motor Inn housekeeping and/or management staff entered my locked room and stole my prescription drugs and silver coins, even though I specifically asked for NO housekeeping that day.  When confronted about the theft, I got guilty looks, nervous actions and empty promises to "make things right" from the manager Teresa Devalle.

According to the "Trip Advisor" motel reviews, this is supposed to be one of the best "mom and pop" motels on the beach.  It IS in a great location, but that is about the only thing is has going for it.  The motel manager Teresa Devalle seemed pleasant enough on the surface, but once I reported my prescription drugs and silver coins were stolen, she began acting all nervous and irritable and was trying to avoid me like I was bothering her by reporting the incident to the Myrtle Beach Police.

Teresa's husband Joe Devalle told the responding officer that he overheard Teresa's daughter Crystal Linn Hamilton and her husband Brandon Hamilton discussing selling my silver coins at d**k's Pawn Shop on Joe White Avenue.  The Myrtle Beach Police followed up on this lead and found and confiscated my silver coins.  Crystal Hamilton was then charged and subsequently convicted of theft for stealing my coins from my motel room and her husband Brandon Hamilton was charged and convicted of fraud for misrepresenting himself as the owner of my stolen coins.  Now that the court case is over, my coins have been returned to me.

Go to the "Myrtle Beach Police - Police to Citizen Portal" and search for case # 12021780 or go here to review the incident report:  http://p2c.cityofmyrtlebeach.com/p2c/viewreport.aspx?id=634971268892361018

I posted a motel review on "Trip Advisor" titled "Prescription Drugs Stolen" and Teresa responded with a pack of lies.  My review was posted only two months (Dec 2012) after my stay (Oct 2012), not seven months like she stated in her response.  She says they have never had a problem with theft before, but there is/was a sign on the office counter warning guests of previous thefts and to keep all their valuables locked up at all times.  Too bad I didn't see that sign until after my valuables were stolen.  And her daughter was not only charged, but convicted of theft and her son-in-law was charged and convicted of theft.  http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g54359-d1479174-r147344827-Admiral_Motor_Inn-Myrtle_Beach_South_Carolina.html#CHECK_RATES_CONT

Stay at the Admiral Motor Inn if you must, just be forewarned to keep all valuables on you at all times.  You can not trust the hotel management and staff to stay out of your locked room and away from your valuables while you are enjoying your vacation.
