I am researching animal abuse myself, and came upon this report. This report is about me. The Dachshund she is reporting did NOT have distemper, and was a rescue from Mexico. The Dachshund is happily living in Scottsdale, AZ with a co-rescued puppy named Champi.I can provide and name and phone number for proof. They would be happy to tell you about their positive experience adopting from me. I have been a shelter manager for the Humane Society, and ran an animal rescue for 2 years. This person's vet gave a BAD diagnosis and she was quick to return the dog within 12 hours of adopting him. I was willing to refund the adoption fee because they were not the right suitors for the dog and were not willing to get a second opinion! The dog's name was Docki. All the other puppies and adults she mentioned seeing were part of an ADOPTION WEEKEND that a relative graciously allowed us to hold in her home, and all the adopted rescues are still healthy and living happy lives.
