Complaint Review: Adriatic Services - Global Marketing - Scottsdale Arizona

I had been searching for a home based business to run when I ran across an advertisement for an adult toy and DVD store. I sent for some free information regarding this venture and within a few hours a sales person (named Shawn) contacted me by phone. He explained the great financial benefits of purchasing a store through Adriatic Services. For $360.00 15,000 items would be put on my site and would be upgraded weekly. They would assign me a coach to help me with my advertising, they would design the web site, and I would have unlimited free consultation from their experts. They had lots of clients making over 2K per month.

Shawn assured me that a $360.00 investment would net me 3K to 5K per month within six months. He had me look at other on line stores made by their company. These stores were very impressive. Adriatic coaches would help me develop an advertising campaign that would have me receiving thousands of hits a day by three months. He said that if I wasn't making money by the end of 3 months we would revamp my advertising program and if I still wasn't happy by the end of 6 months, they would refund my money. (I have asked for my money back, but have been denied.) I didn't need to know anything about web design, or internet marketing, they would help me with it all. What a deal!!

Even better, I was given free hosting for six months, but I know now that others have paid anywhere from 29.99 to 69.99 a month for hosting. I guess I was special.

So, in September, 2006 I purchased what I thought was a complete and ready to go adult web site with everything I needed to start making a good income from home.

That is why when I was contacted a week later by some one from Adriatic named Derrick wanting me to spend $1,500 to activate the e-mail, order tracking and other features as well as having Adriatic tech write a google site map for my site, I was very surprised. I had been told that the $360.00 would get me everything I needed to make a living from my site. He was sorry that I had misunderstood about the up grades, and he explained that if I didn't buy the site map, google would never pick up my site. Because he was a nice guy he would let me have these perks for $1,000. I found out later that someone else paid only $500.00 for the same thing.

I spent the next 3 months submitting my site to search engines, advertising locally, learning what I could about web and internet matters and seeking out other sites to link to. Naturally along the way, I had many questions. I would call Adriatic to ask the tech guys or my coach questions, only to learn that Adriatic did not answer their phones or answer their e-mails.

I was contacted two more times by someone from Adriatic Services. One time was to try to sell me Premium Pricing. They wanted me to spend another $1,000 to get their Premium Pricing which is approximately 10% lower than the prices I now have. (When I bought the site, I had no idea that I wasn't getting the lowest possible wholesale price.) The second time I was contacted, some hard sell, pushy, rude guy named Anthony Michaels called to try and get me to purchase an advertising software package for $10,000! You have got to be kidding me!!

I could go on and on with many more details regarding their scam, but by now, I'm sure you get the picture. I have been with Adriatic Services for 6 months now and have made one sale, with a total commission of $6.00. (I wish I would have purchased the Premium Pricing so that my commission would have been $6.60).

Bottom Line: Adriatic Services is a scam. If you hear this name or the name Global Marketing (I have found out that they sometimes go by this name), please keep your hand on your wallet! They are fast talking, slick operating rip off artist.
