It sounds like your problem is with Apex not ADT. Because they promised you that your sensors would be covered, and are the ones who transfered your account to ADT.
It is standard in just about every agreement that they have the right to sell/transfer your account to another company without your approval. So if you don't want that then be sure to have it in writing from your new company that they will not sell or transfer it without your approval. While you are at it be sure to get everything else that they promise you in writing.
