Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I was contacted by Advanced Check Processing AKA ACP and they informed me that I had felony charges being brought against me for a writing a bad check for a Payday loan that defaulted in 2007. They informed me that 2 police officers will be at my place of business within 2-3 hours. I will be taken downtown and held for 48 hours and have to pay a bond of 6,200 and if I was unable to come up with that amount then I would have to stay in jail over night and would not be seen by the judge until the next morning. If I did not take care of this matter I Rosaria Jones(the one who contacted me ) would send my paper work to her legal department and go ahead with further charges. She was rude, aggressive, and a fast talker! She told me she works for the Attonery General's Fraud Department Unit and she makes the call if I will be prosecuted or not! The only way I could avoid this is if I sent over 1,000 dollars through Moneygram ONLY to ACP, RC 6273, and city FL. That is all the information she stated that I needed and all that she gave. I called her BLUFF. Once she gave me the information I went to my office and looked up ACP and that is when I saw this is a SCAM do not send them any money!!! I contacted my local Attorney General Office, District Attorney Fraud Division, and the Office of Consumer Credit Commissioner. Also, I filed a report with the BBB and the FTC.  *Key steps to help you determine if they are real or not*1.) Find out what your statue of limitations are for your state. 2.) Ask them if they are bonded in your state to collect a debt and if so what is the registration #. Every debt collector has to be registered with your state in order to collect a debt from any consumer if they are from another state. 3.) Try to get them to tell you there physical address, name of the company or zipcode. I hope this helps, DON'T BE FOOLED!
