Believe it or not, this shop was recommended by Sony for repairs. That's why entrusted my once-pristine TV's non-warranty service to these gorillas.
Three (!) months later, after $450 of repairs (paid with a debit card over the phone), my friend picked up the TV with his SUV remarking I shouldn't have wasted that much money on a set that was all scratched up.
There were NO cosmetic defects on the set when I took it in; I have before and after photos. I complained to Tally Bercovitz, the manager (who works only four hours a day), and she has proven immovable and colder than any DMV emlpoyee, saying the company is not responsible for "damage that occurs after it leaves our property." Oh, and did I mention that the DVI-HDTV input no longer works on the set?
She refuses any compensation for the damage. We are headed to small claims court.
No surprise that this business (and sister shadow repair shop Allen's Audio/Video Repair in Chula Vista) has earned an "F" rating from the Better Business Bureau -- 36 complaints! Wish I had done the due dilligence my beloved TV deserved ...
