My small business account convenience checks at 9% escalated to 41%. I recall a message about late payments--not an interest increase. I moved 9K from 16.4% to 41%. The bank would do nothing to help me. Interest increases should be prominantly displayed on any bank-client communication.
This bank's 2nd quarter earning dived 83%. I can only hope this bank goes bankrupt. To really be heard, you need to contact a company officer:

FRANK VAN BUREN NEW YORK, NY 10019 Complaint_against: ADVANTA Complaint: I SUED THEM AND HIRED AN ATTORNEY. THE CASE WAS TO BE HELD ON 11/21 IN DISTRICT COURT IN PA. THE ATTORNEY WITH ADVANTA CALLED MY ATTORNEY AND ADVANTA REFUNDED ME 2,056.00 IN EXCESS INTEREST CHARGES PLUS ATTORNEY FEES OF 782.00. YOU CAN SUE THEM AND WIN. ADVANTA THEN CLOSED THE ACCOUNT AND RAISED MY INTEREST RATE TO 21% ON THE REMAINING BALANCE. I INTEND TO PAY THEM THE BALANCE OF ABOUT 8,500 ASAP. THANKS AND GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE WHO HAS PROBLEMS WITH ADVANTA. One possible option. Advanta caved into the lawsuit in 2 weeks. I would encourage others to try this also.
