AEP Energy Bluestar Energy Services A ripoff company! Beware of these con artists! Do not do business with them! Chicago, but do business all over the country IL & TX
AEP is an electric reseller. They lure you in with a low rate. Then when you go to cancel they say, sorry, you are now locked into a 2 year more expensive contract. My current contract was not even up yet when I called to inquire about what the rate was going to be. When they told me the rate, I said I didn't want to continue and wanted to cancel, that is when they said, "sorry, too late".
They said they had sent a letter a couple months earlier and since I had not responded to that within some timeframe, it was too late to get out of their new 2 year contact they put me in - at the new, jacked up rate! Then since I left them anyways, they sent me a $700 invoice for "breaking" their bogus contract! Stay away from these scam artists!! Do not trust them!!
