Just got off the phone with AEP. I just wanted to have my auto-billing date changed from very end of the month to the beginning of the month. After climbing to 4 supervisors (the 5th one being unavailable) and each one giving me the same bullcarp excuse. I decided this was the best place to make this policy known.

AEP is unable to change the automatic account billing date beacuse.. (Your going to love this one) because it is PROGRAMMED that way. And If changes are made the client may get double billed or not billed at all.

Sounds like to me that AEP is hiring the nephew of the guy that lives down the street. It seems that AEP's IT department is severly lacking in the programming skills department. (I'm an X-programmer so I know it can be done.)

At this point I'm wondering if it would be cost effective to buy/rent a sizable power generator and fuel system and just start feeding power back into the system, and bill AEP for my fuel and other costs.

I hate it when companies get lazy and refuse to work with their customers (especially when the customer is not given another option of gaining the needed service.)
