First of all, let me state, I have NO stake in this report whatsoever. With that being said, I can't help but wonder, if this woman is everything you folks are saying she is and has done the things she is accused of, why haven't you sought legal action against her? If I found out my horse was being mistreated, or I was being defrauded via a boarding contract, I would seek at minimum legal advice for a civil suit, and possibly criminal charges. So, I ask....are you sure your comments and allegations aren't "sour grapes" for another reason that isn't being told?
I'm not accusing anyone of anything, just would like those making accusations to clarify my above questions/stetements.

I have to agree with horse lover. You cannot possibly see the activity that goes on at this boarding facility from merely buying grain every month or stopping in once a week. I have had horses at this property both before Marcia was barn mgr and after. I have seen it all as well. Most of the people that come on here and post in her defense is either Marcia herself or her good friends that are covering for her. If Marcia is such a good barn manager then why did she recently get fire from her GE job? I cant name the amount of people that I know that left around the same time that I did, or the amount of people that were on various barn waiting lists around the miami valley in hopes to leave her horrible facility. One family I know for example left in fear that thier horse would be mistaken for one of the slaughter horses and be taken away when they were not there because his stall was next to the "holding stalls" for slaughter bound horses. The facility, management and horse care at this place is horrible, and I just pray that people start to realize what is really going on before thier horses end up sick like all the others I have seen.

These items I described in this report is what I saw first hand! Buying Items and Feed from the store is different than boarding a horse at Affinia Farms and spending $270.00 every month to have your animal or child as I like to call my horse boarded and taken care of! There is no Vendetta against this barn or the owner for that matter! Buying from the store and being at the barn Once or Twice a month, or everyone once a week is completely different from being there every day and seeing 4 horses brought in and the board owner saying that she might be screwed because she has someone coming to get these horses around the same time they are getting dropped off... How can you possibly SELL A HORSE before even seeing them, getting papers, getting vet bills.... someone is soo ready to pick up these horses before they get in.. Doesn't make since in a Legitamite Mind. Really, believe me when I say, I have been there to see everything I reported in my prior report!
The Water Bucket, was not only a complaint about the buckets not getting cleaned, I am well aware that water buckets get messy throughout the day! The picture was to show the water bucket EMPTY at 11 am while the horses are outside in the mud pit. Anyone can clearly see that fields have NO grass, so why turn a horse out if they are not going to be able to graze on grass. The 4 fields are MUD!
I do not normally write reports or reviews on places or merchandise, but I feel it is necessary for everyone to know what they are getting into before they do. If there would have been something out there for me to read before boarding my wonderful kind animal there I would have def. thought twice about boarding at this location. When reviews are removed how is that fair to prospective boarders???

I have been to this barn multiple times and have yet to see a lot of these accusations. I know the owner of the barn and find it a little hard to believe that she is selling horses to the slaughter house. Not to say that the owner doesn't have some quarks to her personality, but that is no reason to throw out these crazy allegations. I shop here with my family for feed and also have a couple friends who bored their horses here. There has never been a moment were i have felt uncomfortable in the environment provided by the owner. Not to say that there cant be improvements in places, it is a barn and I am sure it is hard to maintain a spotless composure. For example your picture of hay in the water bucket, anyone who has ever owned a horse knows that things make it into a water bucket. Again as I said before there can always be improvements, but I find this column to be a bit far fetched. The accusations sound more like someone who had a personal vendetta against the owner and no true issues with the barn. Hope this helps having a second opinion on this barn/store.
