Affordable Home Warranty Home Warranty Ripoff! Paid yearly fee, filed a claim and no services were rendered. Calls and emails not returned. Atlanta Georgia
Following all the companys regulations I filed a ligitimate claim on 11/10/2007 regarding our oven which quit working the Sunday following Thanksgiving. I received a follow-up call from a CSR telling me a local repair company had been assigned to my claim and woul call me within 2 working days. After 3 working days I called Affordable Home Warranty back to say no one had contacted me. I got a recording saying all associates were busy and to leave a message. I did so. A week went by with no response.
Finally, I went online to the site and filed another claim and started leaving daily phone messages as I got the recording mentioned above each time I called. Finally on 12/18/07 I received an email explaining AHW had not been aware the local repair company had not contacted me and that they would reassign a new repair company to my claim.
I received a second email on 12/19/2007 saying all repair companys in my area were booked and they would continue to find a local repair company to come out and fix the oven. I have since then sent numerous emails and phone calls that have all went unanswered. The oven is still broke and I am out over $350.00 for a yearly subscription fee!
Please don't let this happen to anyone else. Stay away from Affordable Home Warranty! This company is a ripoff!
