Affordable Construction - Affordable Research Center Sent a check for a secret shopper assignment. Sent me a counterfeit check and overdrew my account over 80,000 forcing it to close. Norman Oklahoma
This company was online looking for secret shoppers. They mailed me a check for my first assignment with the potential to earn up to $400 per month with assignments. When they mailed me a check, I had to call in order for them to lift the security hold off the check.
Once I talked to them and they released the hold on the funds, they encouraged me to send them money using money gram and fill out the first survey. They called me everyday to see if the money had cleared my account.
I told them that once the funds cleared (and not a day sooner), I would finish my assignment. They stopped calling when I told them that my bank returned the check as counterfeit. I called ten times a day and the representative hung up on me many times, pretended to transfer me to the accounting department and other times pretended not to know who I was.
My bank closed all of my accounts and are going after me for the money that was lost. I have lost everything. My account was overdrawn 88,000. The bank took my entire paycheck, my entire savings, my daughters savings and anything attatched to my name. They then closed my accounts and refuse to ever do business with me because of this one check.
I need help in persuing this company because they are fraudulent and they are taking advantage of people looking for work during these hard economic times. If anyone else has had an encounter with them or knows what to do, please inform me.
