Afni, Inc. Corrupt Collection Company Bloomington Illinois
I am tired of this company (afni) trying to collect an old Qwest debt from 12 years ago. I received a new letter today (2-3-2009). I am aware of this debt being too old to collect on but how can a company be this outright corrupt?
Most people do not know their rights and send them money. HOW CAN THIS CRAP BE STOPPED? They dinged my credit report last year and I sent off some letters to verify this debt and I disputed the debt with all 3 credit reporting agencies and it was removed quickly. But what about the other people who they scare into paying? How can we stop this thieving company?
I was contacted by a Attorney about being a part of a class action last year and I said no because I thought it was taken care of but now I am ready to be a part of ANY action to stop these POS'. Any Attorney feel free to contact me about taking this company down. I have kept all documents that pertains to this crime.

a debt can be attempted to be collected on forever....they just can't successfully take you to court to get the money if it is past the statute of limitations to do so if you know your rights and use that as a defense.
