Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
On 09/22/11 I placed my order with Agape Auto Transport to move my car from Zip Code 02379 to Zip code 85251. They said that they would schedule my car for pick up 10 business days from the day I paid my 180$ deposit and that I would pay the driver an additional 800$ upon delivery. However 10 business days went by and I received no word about my vehicle being picked up, so I emailed asking about it and they said the only way it would get moved is to pay 1,100 upon delivery instead of the original 800 that was quoted.

However I could not afford to upgrade to the faster shipping option so I waited for a carrier. Weeks went by and there was no word about a carrier. They kept telling me I would have to pay more to get it picked up. Finally in November, I was so fed up with waiting that I said I would pay more. So I agreed to pay 1,100 to the driver upon delivery. So they scheduled a pick up date for 11/05/2011(6 weeks later). I talked to the carrier before he was going to pick it up and he was not 100% in the head. This made me uncomfortable, so I called Agape, left a message and told them I did not want this carrier. I also told him not to come pick up my car. So he did not.

It had already taken so long to get my vehicle scheduled, and by the time it was scheduled, the person they scheduled was not fit to move my car. I decided to cancel my order with Agape and I asked for a refund of my deposit since they never moved my car. They denied me the refund and would not return my emails. I filed a complaint through BBB and they returned the complaint by saying No they would not return my refund. I filed a complaint through the Department of Commerce in Tennessee, and they still continued to deny me my deposit. It has been 5 months, and this matter still has yet to be solved. I would just like my 180$ deposit back since they did not move my car.

Unfair posting and reflection of Agape Transport

First I would like to mention that this is an unfair reflection of our company. Please see our website for a list of really great reviews posted by our customers. We have over 1000 customers that have posted positive feedback in the past months. Also, We have an A+ rating with the BBB. This customer has give false and incomplete information regarding her order.

First I will give you a little back ground on this industry. Agape Auto Transport is apart of a network were carriers and brokers work together. When there is a vehicle available to move in this country we all know about it. When a customer works with several brokers to get their vehicle moved the carriers are aware that this customer is needing this urgent. The result of this is the customer drives up their price that the carriers will agree to move this vehicle for, making it harder for a broker to contract a carrier.

The customer whom posted this report is one that decided to work with several brokers and in turn caused a lot of problems for herself making it impossible for us to contract a carrier at the rate we quoted her. We told her we would have to cancel her order but she didn't want to and wanted us to go ahead and assign a carrier for what the other companies had driven the price up to. So we did which is how she came up with the $1100. Once a carrier has been assigned there is no deposit refund because we have fulfilled the contract agreement.

We do see the transport all the way to the end as that is also apart of our contract. What happened in this case leading to the cancellation the customer mentioned was that the carrier did go to pickup her vehicle. She had it packed down with items. It states in our contract that the vehicle can not have any personal items in it. When the driver told her that she had to remove the items she got really mad. She told him to go away and that she wanted to just cancel all together. Agape did hold up our end of the agreement.

The customer did not tell this part of the story. The carrier we assigned was extremely reputable in this industry and was by no means not a 100% in the head. All drivers are licensed and insured. Here at Agape we only assign the most reputable top rated carriers in the industry and this is how we keep our good name. We are sorry that things didn't run as smoothly for this customer as they always do. Please make sure that you work with one very reputable broker so that your transport experience runs smoothly. Thank you for reading our reply.
