First off, Agape Auto Transport is a broker.  This company should not be blamed for vehicle damage.  They are the middle-men and help find a reputable carrier to transport your vehicle.  Any damages should be taken up with the actual carrier that shipped your vehicle.

Secondly.  The real Agape Auto Transport is NOT affiliated with any other company.  There are numerous companies out there that are trying to pose as Agape because of their good standing with BBB etc.

Check out these links:

www.agapeautotransport.biz

www.agapeauto-transport.com

These companies are trying to pose as Agape.  They are even using their reviews from TransportReviews.com on their website!

I know the owner of the REAL Agape Auto Transport, and I can tell you that she strives to provide excellent customer service, and is not in the business of lying to anyone.

My advice is to actually read the terms of agreement they send you and ask them LOTS of questions before signing it.  They are simply here to provide you with a service, provide you with a trusted carrier so you don't have to call around numerous companies to see if they are going on a route that will ship your vehicle.

The REAL Agape Auto Transport can be found at www.agapetransport.com  If someone answers the phone by any name OTHER than Agape - hang up!  They are not who their site claims to be.

I am researching potential brokers/transporters to take my son's (who is a Marine) vehicle to California. I came across this when I placed in the search engine: complaints against Agape Auto Transport. So far this is the major reports given and 3 others on the sight I noticed. First, I must say that I also check the BBB for complaints to align with what I find on sights like these and found that upon reading that as the first rebuttal to this report that the employee response was from a Rebecca. Which as the BBB has listed: This is what the company supplied to start to become an accredited member: Additional Information top BBB file opened: 10/16/2006 Business started: 07/01/2005 Business started locally: 08/01/2006 Type of Entity Limited Liability Company

Contact Information Principal: Ms. Rebekah Allen (President) Ms. Nicole (Office Manager) Business Category Auto Transporters & Drive-Away Companies

Products & Services According to information supplied by the company, it offers auto transportation services. If you notice even in the initial rebuttal Rebecca, states they had a customer with the name of the consumer who initiated the report and went on to say her side. But later an employee who didn't give name said no Rebecca worked there. That made me question the 2nd and 3rd employee rebuttals. Second, as for the statement that they have an F rating. They may have been so but I noticed that since joining the BBB they have had a total of 4 complaints in the last 3 years and have addressed them all. 2 resolved, 1 BBB was provided proof that they didn't have to resolve the issue, and the last that the company made every effort to resolve issue but consumer would not accept the resolution. That says a lot seeing they have been in business since 7/1/2005. I'm VERY TEDIOUS when it comes to investigating potential companies I deal with being burned before. So, I read ripoff report, BBB reports, check to see name changes, etc... I don't judge because someone decides to you their religion as their base of business. I pray before I conduct any and all business. So this is not a problem with me. BUT, I do make decisions based on fact and I see a lot of things that DO NOT add up. So, check this sight as well, http://www.bbb.org/nashville/business-reviews/auto-transporters-and-drive-away-companies/agape-auto-transport-in-mount-juliet-tn-37024488. First place I start with any business because they aren't accredited with the BBB in their area or at least registered that's a RED flag for me. The gentleman who stated dealing with the company yourself, ATTABOY!!! Being a dispatcher myself in the past I can tell you some times it is easier to do it that way. Understand that when moving anything by transport accidents happen, people have bad days, and it can get twisted real quick. But in the end, when you take possession: INSPECT YOUR DELIVERY AND NOTE EVERYTHING BEFORE YOU TAKE COMPLETE POSSESSION!!!

Agape is a BROKER. Brokers do not carry cargo insurance.
This one of many reasons people should book with an actual carrier.
Wether you use a broker or a carrier, Any & All damage must be noted on the BOL at time of delivery.

If damage is noted at time of delivery you then contact the broker to inform them but you should also contact the carrier and start the claim process.

To Agape, I am a Christian as well so I share this with you:
Proverbs 16:18  Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.  Many entrepreneurs struggle with pride. Do not be afraid to tell clients or employees that you do not know the answer. Try to diffuse any issues with truth and by taking full responsibility for fixing the problem.  Never let your ego get in the way of doing whats in the best interest of your business.

First off, I need my car transported from Los Angeles to Ohio. I was about a microscopic centimeter away from hiring Agape Auto Transport, until......I found Donny's complaint and the subsequent postings. I did some more research and low and behold on Corporationwiki, I found the two officers of Agape are a...... Jeremy Allen and Rebekah Allen. Being a Christian myself I thought one of the Ten Commandments was, "thou shall not lie." I guess Agape's version of the commandments only has nine instead of ten. Donny, I believe you.

We do not know who Donny is and we don't think he was one of our customers. There is no "Rebecca" that works here as a regular employee, manager or any any other capacity, nor has there ever been such a person. Agape Auto Transport is a broker and it would be impossible for us to damage this individual's vehicle. The carrier that transported may have been responsible for the damage, but since Agape does not own any trucks, Agape would not be liable. This customer should have filed a claim directly with the carrier's insurance company. We do keep a certificate of insurance on file for every carrier and would have provided this information to the customer. We are not crooks and we do not lie. We ask that you do your own research and please call us. We will be glad to help any way we can.

Both of thier posts say EXACTLY the same thing, but using two different names. The person who posted the orginial complaint filed a second complaint under a different name. It makes if very hard to believe someone who would like like that. I think Agape did exactly what they said they would and Donny/Jason is trying to scam the company.

Agape is only a broker and never actually took possession of or in any way handled the vehicles. The responsibility for damage is soley on the actual carrier who hauled it. Thorough vehicle inspections need to be performed every time there is a change of custody, and signed by both parties each time. That way there is no confusion, and no chance for anyone to pull a fast one. Either way, it is the actual carrier's insurance that is on the line here. I still won't deal with anyone who advertises religion as part of doing business. That takes away credibility. The carrier actually needs to be checked out on SAFER. The FMCSA site. Even in a perfect world, people will complain. Would like to see what kind of volume these people do, both broker and carrier.

Someone is lying here and I don't think its Agape. How is it that 2 people, Donny and Jason, who live on opposite ends of the country, have EXACTLY the same worded complaint? Agape advertises its beliegs simply by using the name.

Never deal with anyone who mixes business with religion!

#13Consumer Suggestion

Fri, January 13, 2006

I will never deal with anyone who advertises a Christian Business, or any other mixture of religion and business. It is totally inappropriate and these people tend to think they are better than the rest of us. A persons religion is that person's PERSONAL business. It needs to stay that way. I have found most "Christians" to be hypocrites anyway. They usually run thier business the same way they run thier religion.

When every a company starts spouting about being a "Christian" company, I grab my wallet.. When I first read this report, this is what I though... then I found another report on this company.. In the orginal report, "Donny" of NY said: "Agape damage my vehicle through transport and refuses to repair it. Please don't use this vechicle to transport your vehicle. "rebecca" is the company manager and is a lying crook." (http://badbusinessbureau.com/reports/ripoff171504.htm) Now, "Jason" of California said: "Agape damage my vehicle through transport and refuses to repair it. Please don't use this vechicle to transport your vehicle. "Rebecca" is the company manager and is a lying Crooks." (http://badbusinessbureau.com/reports/ripoff171518.htm) (these were cut and pasted from the reports so spelling and grammer is as you see it) So, we have two different complaints, supposedly from opposite sides of the country (interestingly enough, the headers list the authors as both from New York.) I think we can figure out who the liar is, and I dont think its Agape transport.

Agape Has Never Seen This Vehicle

#16UPDATE Employee

Thu, January 12, 2006

Agape Auto Transport is a broker who assigns carriers to transport vehicles. We nor our agents damaged Donny Opoku's vehicle. We transport hundreds of vehicles a month and have never had this problem were someone accuses us of this sort of thing. We are an honest christian company doing our best to make the customer happy. Donny Opoku was a customer of ours who had his vehicle transported by a carrier we assigned who is extremely reputable and has been in business for many years. Donny claims that there was damage to his vehicle. The carrier after investigating the claim found that this was not true and that Donny was trying to blame them for damage that he had done after receiving the vehicle. The carrier even has a signed release by Donny that stated "I have received my vehicle in good condition" at the delivery. The carrier advised us that the driver said that there was no damage when the vehicle was delivered. But even more so, Agape Auto has never even seen this vehicle, we are just the broker that assigned a very reputable company to transport Donny's Vehicle. I am really sorry that something has happened here, but with the Lord as our witness we never damaged Donny Opoku vehicle.

If they are actually a carrier, file a complaint with the FMCSA/USDOT. And get the name of thier Insurance co and file the claim yourself! If they are a broker, file a complaint with the FMCSA and get the name of the company that provides the broker bond they operate on. File a claim on the bond. This is very easy to do.
