Ageless Care AgelessCare ripoff dishonest claims about value of services business practices Orlando Florida
I subscribed to Ageless Care medical savings plan et picked an ophtalmologist on their list of participating providers, communicated with Blanca & Melissa regarding necessary prior refrral, followed their instructions for referral, yet when I went to the Doctor's appointment I was told that they are not participating providers. I called that evening (2/15/06) to cancel my membership & request a refund. Customer service rep that answered my call was very belligerent and hang up on me after I reiterated my desire to cancel my membership. When I called today to verify whether they were issuing a refund for the $37.95 paid to them on 01/21/06, the customer service rep that took my call found a record of my calling in on 02/15/06 but did not see any request made by rep that day to cancel my account. In fact, the company had charged my credit card for $27.95 on 02.21.06 (6 days AFTER I requested cancellation). Today, I was told that my account will be cancelled with confirmation #MR8294 but that I would only be refunded $55.95 as $10.00 were non-refundable. I am outraged that this company which is not delivering on its promises (doctor was NOT a participating provider contrary to their claims & no services were rendered) would still make a $10 profit on this transaction. Also, it was very dishonest of them to deliberately ignore my request to cancel the account and keep charging my credit cards, without mentioning the rudeness of having a customer rep hang up on me when I called to complain.
