I am so glad that I wasn't the only one who gave into this scam. Luckily I closed my account before they could bill it.

There is just one problem. I recieved a notice from my bank saying that there was a returned check for $149.00. I don't know if this will effect my credit. It better not or the fight is on.

Like most people have said, why did I give into this scam when I knew it was questionable. I asked the guy who called me the first time to send me something in the mail then I'll think about writing down my account info. He just kept repeating himself then it got quiet, so I hung up.

I thought that everything was taken care of until the "district manager" called. She said that my bank was rewarding me for being a member. She also said that she was checking "up" on me because something happened the last time they called.

She said that I had a free vacation that required no obligation. This 149 dollar crap wasn't mentioned at all. All she spoke about was a $59 membership that I could cancel at anytime. I gave in, thinking that I could just cancel.

Then I recieved this Florida Passport thing. I thought what the heck is this, so I read on. It said that I had 7 days to cancel, but 7 days from when. It also said that I would be billed on 02/18/05. That was the day before I even got the stupid thing.

Thankfully I closed my account before they could take any money, but I think they still hurt my credit. Never give your account info or anything over the phone unless you call them. There is no such thing as a free vacation.
