I purchased a 5 ton AC unit from Air Around The Clock for $5000+, and had this unit repaired numerous times after the installation of it in May 2010.
Now I have the same problem that I have had in 2010, Therefore, I needed to know why am I paying $342. for travelling expense to have a new chip placed into a motor that was manufactured by Rheem? I didnt cause the chip to burn out or at least that what they claim the problem is, because they can't show me the chip, they can only reassure me that this is definitely the problem.
However, when i questioned why am I paying for the travel of the chip to come from the manafacturer to my home, they said we must pass the cost on to the customer. Isn't this wonderful, do we the consumers keep spare parts that are under warranty in our home???
I certainly understand paying for labor, but its a complete RIP OFF to tell me I must pay for the travel of the chip...
They have a slogan " Your Wife Is Hot, You Better Call Air Around The Clock".. Now my Saying is " Your Wife Is Hot, If You Call Air Around The Clock, You Better Call An Attorney Too"!
