Aui Online Niversity set me up with a school loan (i inquired about grants) and kept the monies when i informed them after three days that this online wasn't for me Online Illinois
my name is walt tooson who was a victim of down sizing after 26 years at one job. so i thinking about what to do next when AIU pops up. i look in to getting a masters ( bachlor degree was in 1976) at AIU telling the student advisor that i wanted scholarships and grants. that advisor called every day until i submitted all the paper work. but when asked about grants , i was ignored.
class began and after three day i saw that this online education was not for me. i e-mail the advisor but he did not respond. i also stopped going to class. i got an e-mail where this loan company had disburst monies to AIU. i told them that i was not attending and have AIU return the nonies. financial aide e-mail me stating i had to a certain date to submit in writing that i wanted the monies returned. i wrote up a letter alone with e-mails and next day aired it to the advisor and financial aide.
AIU is sending me a bill for almost $1500.00 for the three days i spent in class !
