Misleading advertising - poses as multiple companies.
My cousin called for quote on garage door spring replacement. They overpriced by $1,000! Then my cousin called another one of their ads (posing as a different garage door company) and they quoted for $400 less...
They are deliberately misleading customers by buying the front section of garage door advertising so that customers never really end up calling a separate competitor to get true facts.
A garage door operating system, as we learned, is fair priced for about $400-450 installed. But Al-Co was pricing $1,675.00 with one ad, $1,275.00 with another, and their 'cheapest' response was $850.00 - more than DOUBLE the fair market price.
These guys are praying on people who need repairs fast, taking advantage of elder folks, and destroying trust in the garage door trade!!!! CROOKS CROOKS CROOKS!!!! THEY DID THIS IN MARIN COUNTY TOO AND ELSEWHERE!
Go to the California State License Board to also see COMPLAINTS against them. cslb.ca.gov - their license number is 508841.

What a joke to how my sissy brother who wrote this as a false complainer identifies himself as he is a unhappy customer complaining for "his cousin". Just by that one quote it is obvious at who is writing the complaint. My brother was brought into my business because I felt sorry for him because he had no money and was wasting his time in what he was currently doing. After about a year he deverted almost 30,000 dollars into his account and was caught and fired for doing so. Now he is doing all this to me. He is just a disgrunted misrable person and his own mother wont even agnoledge him anymore. What a loser. I have been a successful business for decades before I associated myself with this demon. I have all happy customers. This brother is the oldest sibling and cant except the fact that the youngest sibling is sucessful and he is a failure. If a mother disowns you then you must be really bad and our mother did in fact disown him. Have a good day

First of all I would like to inform the public about whos bad mouthing me on here. I believe it to be a disgrunted company by the name of Northgate garage doors located in Marin county. They have constintly told potential customers of mine false infomation about my company, and here are some facts. Lets start off by referring to the first part of the so called "unhappy customer". Who would take the time to write in and complain about there "cousin". They start off there letter by saying "My cousin". Oh please give me a break, who does that. 2nd off, They claim they have been in business for over 30 years and that they are proud of that, well then maybe they could explain why there contractors license is such a high number. I got mine in 1986 and the number is 508841, which makes me 22 years in business, hmmmmm if there number is higher wouldnt that make them in business for less time if licenses all started with the number 1. I was told by a supplier that they filed bankrupcy and the son had to take over and get his license around 12 years ago, around the same time it reflects his license. So I guess on all his advertisements they have been lying to the public and saying 30 years to gain the consumers confidence. Doesnt sound like they are proud of who they are and instead they decide to scath me because I took out large ads in the phone book, and they are not getting any jobs, boo h*o, so they tell customers to google my name and this is what your seeing, they also reported me to the contractors license board for my advertisements. LET THE PUBLIC BEWARE THAT I DO THE BEST WORK IN THE ENTIRE BAY AREA, AND HAVE NEVER EVER HAD ANY COMPLAINTS ABOUT WORKMANSHIP. These people are cowards and hide behind things like this. If anyone ever doughts me, I can give them hundreds of happy customers which have sent me letters thanking me on my quality and service I provided them. On the other hand if you chose to believe Northgates scathing remarks about me, just remember what I said about "my cousin". Just think about that. Those are all false and made up to make customers leary in using me for there jobs. Proudly Al Martin
