Alamo City Harley Davidson TRIED TO GIVE ME A LOAD OF BS ripoff San Antonio Texas
Back in Oct 2005 i made the biggest mistake of my life I bought a new FLH from Alamo City Harley Davidson.Inc.
My wife bought a new softtail back in 2002 so buying two bikes you would think like! Look after these customers this could be another two new bike sales comming our way!on going business.
Low and behold F***Wits don't think that way.
I did send a two page letter to H D in Milwaukee but fat lot of good that did.
Just before my first service was due my bike ran out of oil. I spoke to ACHD I was told this was normal. Before the second service was due the bike was out of oil again. Back to ACHD again told this is normal but keep an eye on you oil.
This went on for almost the first year I had the bike and i was adding a quart and a half of oil every 1000, miles but HEY this is normal is the answer I got. By this time visit No4 they took my bike into the workshop and said they did a pressure test on the bike and found nothing wrong with it AND told me that they had phoned HD factory acording to ACHD the factory told them YES your right THIS IS NORMAL. Must be F***Wits that are employed at HD factory also?
By now this is visit No6 again ACHD no help whats so ever.By the way my wife and I were members of the alamo chapter HOG. Did this help NO. Any how my wife and I took a ride up to South Austin HD Oh my! What a change to be treated with respect and the staff were most professional and clean unlike achd.
I spoke to the service manager there and told him about my bike and the oil it was burning before i finished telling him about it he informed me that it was the gide seal valves and explaned how they could fix my problem and that there was a problem with the early 05 bikes he had done work on three others. So I booked my bike in to have this work done my bike does NOT BURN OIL any more!MUST BE SOME THING WRONG WITH IT ! AHAHAHA. A big thank you to South Austin Harley Davidson. My wife's bike is another story im not going into it in detail but again thanks to S A HD they repaired her bike that achd gave her back in a dangerous condition. But goooood news we are geting a new dealer ship in San Antonio soon on 410 at Bandera the old albertsons.
Thanks to Stuart at SOS motorcycles at watt circle JUST BEHIND ACHD. He is a one man band and is very fair with his prices.
