Alamo ripoff dishonest fraudulent billing Fort Lauderdale Florida
Rented a vehicle from Alamo August to September of 02 & the limited English speaking employees stated the at fault driver's insurance co would compensate me for the optional damage waiver fees.
The truth is auto insurance companies will not pay for any optional fees & I was told that all rental agencies are aware of this policy. Alamo's branch manager refused to admit his employee offered incorrect information as she wrote the contract & avoided the issue by telling me he would review the matter & contact me, which he didn't.
Alamo closed that branch months later & Alamo stated that the branch manager was responsible for correcting my dispute. Alamo without notification gave the debt to a collection agency on 3/03 that filed a uncollected funds to the credit reporting agencies without contacting me of their intent.
