This is Jason Brick, the person who filed the original report.
Mr. Shadbeh and I have discussed the situation and it has been resolved to my satisfaction -- not because of the threats in the earlier post, but because he made a professional call and we talked it over like gentlemen.
To repeat: the situation is fully resolved. Mr. Shadbeh even took the time to speak with me personally to confirm the details.

Responding to the ripoff report by Mr. Jason Brick from Hillsboro, Oregon filed against me
"Ali Shadbeh" :
My friend Mr. Beeman needed a room to reside in Hillsboro Oregon. I saw the ad Mr. Jason Brick had placed in Craigslist at the time. I drove Mr. Beeman to see the room Mr. Brick was intending to rent. I witnessed Mr. Brick showing the room to my friend Alan. Mr. Brick told my friend the room was being rented for a period of aprox. three months only. Contrary to claims and acquisitions Mr. Brick makes in regards to me , the truth is the the parties making the rental agreement were Mr. Beeman and Mr. Brick. I even reminded Mr. Brick to put the agreement in writing between him and Mr. Beeman. His response was there is no need for signing any agreement. Mr. Brick rented the room to Mr., Beeman and he anticipated that Mr. Beeman would vacate by September. Well, Mr. Beeman ended up staying longer, and failed to timely pay rent for the room. Once Mr. Brick realized his rent was not paid, he placed negative ad on Craigslist about my Character and damaging my Reputation(in anticipation by doing so, Mr. Beeman will pay up the rent).
Since then Mr. Beeman has paid up some of the money he owes to Mr. Brick, and my understanding is that Mr. Beeman intends to pay Mr. Brick the remaining balance. At this time Mr. Brick has damaged my reputation for no reason other than he wants to pressure Mr. Beeman to pay.
In conclusion If Mr. Brick does not remove the negative info he has placed against my name, I will seek legal assistance to get him to restore my good name and pay for any associated costs and damages. You may contact me for information regarding this matter and I will put you in touch with witnesses in regards to the negative report.

Al Shedbeh is now running ads on Craigslist for PDX area houses, duplexes, and townhouse For Rent rental properties. The ads are odd, and don't seen to either email back or call back when contacted. We always check the phone number, the address listed ownership before we proceed. This may be a way to find him to pay up. Also, what about his license for Real Estate? In Oregon you have to be licensed to handle rental property now, Washington too?

This week, I was contacted by Alan, the individual who filed the rebuttal and whose status as our roommate was the crux of this issue. He was finally able to pay the last of his back rent, and asked me as a favor to note that this situation was made good.
Alan has clearly been concerned about what happened. He has conducted himself as a gentleman and a friend throughout the five years since the situation started. I've heard nothing from Mr. Shadbeh one way or the other, but at this point what happened in 2006 has cost us nothing more than some aggravation.

Rebuttal:
I am Alan Beeman, the person who is involved in this issue. I met Ali Shadbeh in April of 1979 when I came to Oregon to help my brother get his remodel business going. Since then to date I have come to have a lot of respect for Mr. Shadbeh and we have become good friends. The things that have impressed me about him is the fact that he has always tried to be fair and honest in all his dealings. Not only with me but withal his tenants and business associates. It has always been my experience that he will go the extra mile to get things done.
While I stayed with Jason and his wife I was always treated well and fair. They are good people. I am sorry that I have become the subject of this misunderstanding.
Unfortunately when I left Jasons residence I was in arrears in my rent to the tune of $700. So far I have brought that down to $400. So far. I had hoped to bring the balance to 0 by January of this year.
Unfortunately I have had some heavy medical difficulties that have drained my limited finances (I am on S.S.) I had to have a five (5) way bypass operation and an extended stay at St. Vincents Hospital. I am currently doing cardio rehab 3 days a week on my cardiologists orders. To make maters even worst is the bad turn in the economy, so I have not been able to pick up extra work.
But rest assured that as I earn extra funds I will be paying down the rest of what I owe Jason and his wife.
I do want to state that in the length of time I have known Ali Shadbeh he has always looked after my interests and can say with all sincerity that he has not done me any harm or misdealings.
