Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

The company could not fulfill the order to which they promised and refuse to refund any money despite not being able to provide a service. I wished to have a car shipped form Herndon VA to Raleigh NC.I spoke to John on July 17th and explained to him that the person who is collecting the car would need to do it on July 19th and also the car is modified and lower than most. He assured me that providing you can place your foot under the car (you can) then it won't be a problem, he will simply let the driver know so he can prepare for loading.

He phoned the person who had the car waiting to me and told them July 19th wouldn't be a problem and probably the day before would work as well. As John had given me his verbal agreement that he could fulfill these needs I agreed to have the car shipped with him and left $150 deposit. On July 24th we had heard nothing. I called up and asked what the delay was rudely told that I need to be patient. I explained that they already several days late and I was told that they were waiting for a driver to pick up the assignment and they explained they are merely a broker which was different to what John had told me a week earlier.

On July 25th I had given up hope and made arrangements to have my dog put into overnight facilities, rearranged schedules and had to rent a car to Herndon and drive back to Raleigh in the same day. Then All Coast called me and said that they can pick up the car on the afternoon of July 25th but it would cost $25 more. They contacted the person who was holding the car and he agreed but mentioned he had to be at work for 5pm. He was assured this wasn't a problem and they'd be there in a maximum of 90 minutes. This was at a little past noon.

All Coast Auto had then sent me and email telling me that the vehicle had been picked up. At 5.30 the person who had the vehicle informed me that the driver, who was exceptionally late could not load the car. Despite the fact that it met the terms of conditions that John had laid out the driver could not load the car, did not know it was low and couldn't believe that All Coast had not informed him. I phoned to get a refund for the $150 deposit and was told to shut up and I didn't know what I was talking about and then the phone went dead. I am disgusted by the rudeness, the ill-informed lack of customer service representation and the blatant theft of $150 for a service they admit they can not provide.

After a shirt while the head of the company phoned me and was appalled with the service and treatment I received and offered a free refund and additional help on shipping a vehicle. It was very pleasing to see the head of a company so involved to put things right.

If you didn't know the differenvce between a broker and a trucking company, you do now.

Brokers are nothing but scammers, they undercut trucking companies and then they can't get anyone to do the shipment, and if they can the guy don't care because he isn't getting what he needs to run his truck and live.

So in the future when you need a trucking company call a trucking company, and the way you know the difference is the DOT number or the MC number, go to the FMCSA site and they will have a place where you type that number in and it will tell if they have any trucks or if they are a broker. If you can't find it email me and I will find it.

Best of luck and God Bless.
