I can absolutely guarantee that if Anne pulled a gun on the movers and the cops came as stated she would be in jail. That is because brandishing a firearm in the State of Florida is a FELONY and this particular offense requires a sentence of a minimum mandatory 3 year prison sentence to be served. No parole. As I recall, it is a 2nd degree felony which in itself can carry a 6-15 year prison sentence if convicted. All my Sons moving is a franchised operation. We have one here in Bradenton. They mostly have junk trucks. if they need to go out of state, they lease a truck! The customer screwed herself here because she did not protect herself by demanding an itemized move sheet me done which indicated "no damage" on each major item. Always do this with any moving company. You do this BEFORE the first piece of furniture goes on the truck, and it is best to have a witness. Walk through the entire house FIRST and identify each item, and any damage as applicable. FYI...Most moving companies do not repair or replace damaged items. They attempt to pay a depreciated rate, or a rate by the pound. ALWAYS request a CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE and DOT Authority papers. Verify who you are dealing with! And, one more thing...Under FLORIDA LAW. and FMCSA regulations a moving company CANNOT "hold your furniture hostage" for "extra" fees at destination. They can only collect what you agreed to at time of departure, unless extra fees were specifically agreed to in writing. Knowledge is power. Educate yourself in anything you do.

Anne, stop resorting to violence and just work things out peacefully. Moving is a tough job and we do our best. We don't need tasers or pistols to make us move faster; we can only move so fast with a triple dresser on our back!!

FL actually has one of the tougher laws set up to protect consumers, but only for moves within FL. Moves between states are enforced by the DOT and the FMCSA, which have to many complaints and not enough enforcers. It's getting a little better each year, though. FL is attractive to scammers because of the nice weather, and the fact that in lawsuits, private residences cannot be taken to pay off verdicts. Owners of scammers continually buy bigger and bigger houses to protect their assets, then leave the country when the heat gets too much.

Anne, that was one of the companies I was originally thinking of hiring for our move, however after reading all the bad feedback on this company I didn't even contact them. For the moment I am very sour on all moving companies and will never, ever use another one again after the inept service provided by Superior Moving & Storage of Pompano beach FL. It is rather odd that most of the rip-off reports are on FL companies? Maybe the state of FL is too lax in controlling these mis-managed companies and some of the fault lies there? Ray

ALL MY SONS MOVING LIARS as well as disreputable,non-qualified and bad ethics Riviera Beach Florida These guys should get a Pulitzer prize for the story they wrote in their rebuttal...as follows: "At the time of delivery, Ms. Anne refused to pay the bill and went so far as to retrieve a pistol and threaten the movers. Fortunately, the police arrived and the customer was forced to pay the bill. Finally, Ms. Anne resorted to filing a suit in local court which basically amounts to a mediation process between the parties involved. A judge refused to hear the case before Ms. Anne attempt to come to a settlement. In an effort to put closure to the matter, I authorized my adjuster to settle with Ms. Anne for half of what she was requesting. Ms. Anne accepted the settlement as well as agreeing to a non-disclosure, which has now been violated by this report." You gotta love these idiots for making up a story like this. By the way...I did NOT retrieve a pistol...I would not have wasted the bullets on these LAZY,USELESS, wastes of space. BUT it would have been more fun if I had a TASER...watching those guys move around after getting hit with one would have gotten me MORE MOVEMENT (no pun intended) out of these jackasses than I got out of them during the course of them attempting to move my belongings ( a feeble attempt at that) I did pay and did bring them to court ...the judge did hear my complaint and an arbitrator MADE them write me out a settlement check...they had to sign the letter at arbitration stating that if I did not receive the settlement agreed on they would have to refund me all costs INCLUDING court costs. :) Be sure to watch for the follow up SHORT STORY by ALL MY SONS MOVING..." REBUTTAL PART II-A FANTASY IN THE MAKING" They have my vote for SHORT STORY... OF THE YEAR. Thank you ALL MY SONS MOVING we could all use the comic relief. !!!! I am going to send this to every one I know including "A lawyer I know. I think he might be interested in reading about the defaming statement that was written about my "retrieving a pistol and threatening the movers and the police having to come out and force me to pay the bill. It isn't only Libelous but also defaming to write on a public access network that I committed a felony. Thanx if he likes it enough...who knows....I could use a little extra $$$$....more money you guys can write me a check for. :) This by the way will be my last reply...so let us all learn from this DO NOT USE ALL MY SONS MOVING...LIAR LIAR PANTS ON FIRE !!! Ms. Anne in Boynton Beach moved on October 2004, almost two years ago. At the time of delivery, Ms. Anne refused to pay the bill and went so far as to retrieve a pistol and threaten the movers. Fortunately, the police arrived and the customer was forced to pay the bill. Ms. Anne attempted to stop her credit card charges in full, however, it was obvious to the credit card company that the charges were valid and therefore were sustained. Ms. Anne accepted the settlement as well as agreeing to a non-disclosure, which has now been violated by this report. All My Sons Moving & storage prides itself on providing a professional service througout the moving process. This process is sometimes extended to beyond the actual moving day, as in this case. However, whether it be moving the customer or handling their complaint, All My Sons always attempts to satisfy the customer.
