Buyers Please Beware!!!! I work with dogs in NYC. I see so many Pet Shop and online dogs with bad health problems. I inherited a beautiful Red Setter from a client. She was purchased in a pet store. She developed a horrible adrenal disorder at 10 months old. She died at almost 7. We loved her and spent thousands on her. We traced her background and found out she came from a large Puppy Mill in MO. Over 164 dogs. And the USDA report showed a very dirty kennel. We found her parents. Her poor mom looked ancient at 8.5 years old. She had spent her entire life in a cage having puppies for this woman who barely fed her. She came into rescue as a mill surrender terrified and emaciated. Please don't feed into this awful slave trade. I work in NYC parks and do hikes and board dogs. On friday a woman had a bulldog with hip dysplasia and a deaf Dauchsund she had bought online. I see breeds that are not full bred. Dogs with hair that doesn't grow. If you want a full bred dog go to a local breeder. Ask to see the mom and dad. If the dog is not a show dog do not pay more then $400.00. There are over 5000 labs and goldens up for adoption right now. You can get almost any breed of dog you want if you look up rescue sites on line. Please look up puppy mills and educate yourself on what a huge business it is. The breeding dogs have puppies every four months. They breed anything there is. If a dog is sick they continue to breed it. They also breed deaf dogs regularly. I learned the hard way. It was very painful. The mill owner lied through her teeth. She showed no remorse. She just wanted me out of her hair. The midwest is the worst. Beware of Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Wisconsin, Indiana, Oklahoma, Nebraska. Beware of Alabama, Georgia, Virginia, WV, Arkansas. Dont feed into this awful trade. It is truly a slave business that only consumers can stop. Educating yourselves and others will help a dog daily. No one who loves their dog would sell it puppies in mass quantities. No one who cared would ship seven and eight week old puppies in crates across the country. They get kennel cough, giardia etc. Get a healthy dog. Start off on the right foot.

Good Luck
