Dear Steve, I run and operate a nation wide plumbing Franchise and deal with the warranty companies all the time. The name of the game with them is cheap. These companies call us and we tell them the cost and at that point, they decide to call some jackleg for 1/2 the price. We have plumers with a PLUMBING LICENSE.Any company can go to the city or county and get a business license and tell you that they are licensed. There is a big difference in a PLUMBING license and a Business license.ANY servicetech that comes into your home should have a card in his pocket to show that HE is licensed. If he doe's not, send him down the road. You will not get a licensed plumber for what the warranty companies want to pay.The only way for a plumber to make money with a warranty company,is to create more work while he is at your house. Good luck
