Allen and Associates represents another company that preys on the emotions and vunerability of people for the benefit of Allen and Associates and no one else.
If you are contacted by these people you need to listen for the purpose of learning. Their sales pitch is good but the results, as experienced by others, are absent.
This is roughly the fourth of similar companies that have contacted me. Their scripted presentation is basically the same:
- They have selected you because of your unique skills and potentials to your industry. (HINT: everyone is selected that they think they can con into buying their services).
- They ask for your resume which is always not quite up to par.
- They explain how they will "market" you to specific clients.
- They boast of their expansive data base of companies and industry contacts because "that's their business".
- They then ask for money which can range from $1,800 to
$10,000 or higher.
So, if you have had experience with this type of "unscruplous" companies drop them like a hot potato and move on. You can get all that they offer for free. How? Well:
- Search the internet and you will find an number of "free" resume examples from companies that provide resume writing services.
- Head to your local Book Store and purchase books on resume writing.
- Visit your local library and search through Dunn and
Bradstree, Hoovers, Moodys, etc. and you can get all the information you need about a company including the names of executives.
