Allied Waste Services Republic Services Company Billing for Services not Rendered Bellevue, Washington
In early 2009 Seattle implemented a Clear Alleys program and switched from Allied Waste to CleanScapes. The program was mandatory for businesses in the downtown core. As part of this program Allied Waste dumpsters were removed.

After setting up my account with CleanScapes and purchasing bags, i was surprised when I continued to receive bills from Allied Waste. When I contacted them, they insisted that I was still required to make payments under my "contract" with them. I told them that I didn't see how I could be held liable for payment for services that they were no longer providing.
After getting nowhere with Allied Waste I contacted the Seattle City Council and confirmed that Allied Waste no longer held the contract and that I should not be liable for any further payments. In fact, I was told that Allied Waste knew that they were not having their contract renewed and sent out "service agreements" to their existing customers that continued beyond the contract termination date.
After a number of months of no contact from Allied Waste I thought this was resolved until I received a demand from CMI Credit Mediators, Inc. demanding payment. I wonder how many other businesses are being hit with these fraudulent claims? How many are just paying to make Allied Waste go away? I for one have no intention of paying these fraudulent charges.
