I called for service to have my Dodge Ram Van B2500 winched out of a a very small hole, It was mud, therefore I could not get it out. I was told that someone would be there in about an hour. Two hour later I called back and ask where they were and was told the they didn't know and would call the tow driver. Allstate called back and stated the driver said they were not coming.

No call nothing. I told them I been paying for three years and someone had better be here to help me. Allstate informed me that the driver was the only one in the area authorized to tow me. After repeated attempts to get them to help me Allstate in the end did nothing.

Allstate called back about two hours later and informed me that the driver said he would come out and winch me out but my $250.00 was not enough and I would have to pay an additional $100.00 to get me out. I informed them I could get out with a freaking push, I was not paying them $350.00 to get me out. Allstate representatives were hostile, and outright rude during this entire episode.

In the end, Allstate refused to help me without paying the driver an additional $100.00. This company and the towing industries have one hell of a scam going one here. I would not recommend this company in any way shape or form. And in fact I am seeking an attorney to demand a refund of my three years I have been paying without service.

Allstate motor club thieves

In a rebuttal someone asked why I didn't get help being that close to a ski lodge, The lodge was closed, due to a fire that destroyed the main cabin, and shortly there after thieves (probably Allstate, ha-ha) stole equipment and other items forcing the lodge to remain closed.

In the end, I pushed the truck out myself, by rocking it with rocks under the tires the very next morning.

This company kept me thinking they were going to help me for over 6 hours and never even showed up, The towing company was equally nothing more than thieves, and I do not understand why we do not make it law to stop this kind of thefts from these companies.

As for Allstate, they kept taking money out of my card even after telling them to stop, I was forced to close the card and get another one to keep them from stealing my money.

I no longer have a motor club account with anyone. I bought a winch for when I get stuck. I bought a jump starter for when my battery is dead, and I have a second vehicle for when I need to go somewhere.

America, we are failing as a country and the American companies are failing because of people like Allstate.

Ok so here we have a fine example of what the ALLSTATE MOTOR CLUB is good at. First let me say that I have never seen Allstate pay $250 for any service to one of there contracted service providers. As far as how stuck in the mud you were and to quoate you " I informed them I could get out with a freaking push" Why were you calling for a tow truck to come extracate you B2500? That close to a ski lodge there had to be many trucks in the area. What is you field of expertise that makes you qualified to estamate the coast of what it takes to run someone elses business? (What kind of training does the driver have? Where was the driver coming from? What was the road conditions? What was the weather conditions? How many feet off of a state or county mantained road were you? B2500 is it a work van or a passenger van? If it is a work van then is it loaded and how much dose the load weigh?) There are many different factors in what it takes to do a winch out/ extraction/ recovery. I will advise anyone who thinks that the towing and rcovery industry is easy money then go buy a tow truck and the PROPER insurance, and get to work doing it.

Now as far as you claim about Allstate it is not unlike them to not be able to provide service to there customers. I have had them call me many time requesting service and there customers were not covered for the service in full so they let them sit on the side of the road. One of Allstate's dispatchers asked me one time do i ever feel guilty for leaving thier customers out on the side of the road? I told her very directly that thier customer is the one who chose to use Allstate so they have chosen to sit on the side of the road for hours on end waiting.

Exactly what kind of service is provided for standard rates?

Is it possible the type of winch pullout you required was beyond the scope of what they cover. I can understand a normal tow being fully covered, but getting out of a ditch or things like that might not be by these roadside assistance plans. What do your membership documents state?

If that winch was covered by specific terms, you could go after them in small claims I would thnik.

All False information

The  rebuttal; to my complaint was completely false. They not only called me repeatedly to tell me the driver was not coming out. The driver knew where I was, I was 4 miles for a major ski lodge on the same heavy traveled road. They knew my membership number because they instructed me to an operator for this area. They knew where I was, because the dispatcher asked for my address, and asked for a cross street.

Poor service is the bottom line here and I will advise every person I come into contact with including members of my company not to use your service, insurance, or any sister companies.

@Matthew, I was sorry to hear about your negative experience. I forwarded it to the appropriate team to escalate your concern but due to the limited information (who you are, the membership number, etc.), they weren't able to locate the dispatch call to investigate further.

If you would like me to try to help resolve your concern, please send an email to [email protected] with your full name, city, state, zip code and best phone number to contact you.

Thank you.
