My client requested a quote to transport a yacht across country from Allure Logistics, (Talia Enzer ) owner agent. She seemed nice enough and gave a decent quote ($14,700)which would later be raised. Here is how it went. The yacht was taken apart (4 days of work and thousands of dollars labor) and made ready to be picked up. The driver showed up on time as per the contract (which is now broken as the boat could not be loaded on the trailer) however ,,,,,
1. The Truck and Trailer he was using was Not correct for the load. (Allure after receiving the factory specs on the boat i.e. the weight @24,000 lbs dry ) sent the wrong truck and the wrong trailer. The truck was a dually and the trailer was a home made piece of junk with bald tires and three 7000 pound axles from Harbor Freight or ?, No GVWR sticker on the trailer no ratings . (The front tires of the Truck was also Bald).
The truck had smashed out windows covered in trash bags. The rear dually fenders were broken and hanging on by a thread. Allure states that they have shipped 100 boats with this same truck and trailer and driver . (A Bold Faced Lie at best ). Allure stated they have seen this carriers truck and trailer (That is Really Scary) Pictures of Rig and Trailer available....
2. The trailer would have never made it through the weigh stations. We called D.O.T. and referred the driver to go to the D.O.T. office locally and get inspected, and return with an A .O.K. from D.O.T. He refused to do so.
3. Upon me calling the Insurance Carrier for this driver the Agent told me that he had No Insurance whatsoever and that he had been Cancelled. The driver tried to con me with a friend of his on the phone saying that his insurance was good. The driver was covered from head to toe in grease and dirt. He refused to leave the yard and continued to harass us until we were going to call security to have him removed from the premises. Incredible attitude from this Middle Easterner........He refused to take No for an answer. I guess he thought he was home.
4. Talia Enzer the owner of the company (Allure Logistics) told the owner of the boat that we had told her the vessel weighed 16,000 lbs.T his is a total lie as e mails in our records indicate that she received all of the proper specs to ship the boat. She either wanted to try and use a cheap carrier and make a ton of money or hasn't a clue as to what she is doing.
5. The company (Allure Logistics ) and Talia Enzer now Refuse to give us back the $3000.00 deposit given to her in good faith. She also is trying to jack up the shipping quote another $5000.00 . This is due to her un ethical business practices. The original quote $14,700 . The trucker said he charged her $10,000. At hat pint the greedy company was making $4700.00 ? Now they want another $5k ? You do he math.
6. Now the problem is that the vessel is sitting in a yard ready to ship with no transport. Allure is saying they are re scheduling , the problem is that they cannot make any money on it now and they are trying to jack us up. I have a bonafide quote from a reputable company for $15k. Allure refuses to return our deposit so we can book the new shipper.
Do Not Use Allure Shipping , as they will lure you in and rip you off. We still at this point are waiting fro them to do he right thing and return the deposit. Keep in mind. If they were for real they would Require No Deposit until the boat was loaded on the truck.
I'am imbedded in the boat business and know hundreds of yacht brokers etc. I can assure you that if Allure does not take responsibility for their actions and return the deposits I will be motivated to let everyone know coast to coast how Allure does business.

THIS HAS TO BE A FIRST ON THE RIP OFF REPORT, TAKE NOTE, BE CAREFUL, TRUST NO ONE
You know nothing surprises me anymore. Do any Ethics or Honesty or Brains exist anymore ? I came back into the Report to see what was happening with the complaint and to see if any payment had been made to the client so I can be paid. Boy was I surprised. Now I'm being trashed by the client ? This guy talks out both sides of his mouth.
Now the so called Owner of the boat that I travelled 6000 miles to take apart and make ready for shipping to California, (60 hours spent) and Completing my job duties as contracted (SPOT ON) , in the rain cold and crazy wind based in dive motel has now thrown me under the bus to try and get his deposit back ? This was a tortuous job for a 60 year old.
Because of the Fact that He decided to give a deposit to the shipper prior to the boat being loaded on the trailer I have now inherited his problems and all I did was try and help.
I'm being held hostage for the balance of payment that he owes me for services rendered. He is making me wait until he is paid back from Allure as he stated to me when making me a partial payment.
Was he paid ? Who will ever know, certainly not me. How can I trust the client to pay his balance after he has written such a misleading comments about me on this site. I can only hope.
He clearly has twisted the whole story around to suit. This is not my first Rodeo. So I have put together files with a hundred e mails as well as text messages from both parties shipper and client to prove my case with dates and details, what do they have ? The same messages and text messages I have, Oops.......
Mr. Mike, Remember when you said to me that you could not find a maniac to fly all the way to Boston from California and back to do this job and you were so happy that you found me. ? Thanks for nothing. Now that you have been shown how to take the boat apart and re assemble it from my hard work I'm sure that you will be trying to do the work yourself, and you will be in California.
I will warn everyone. I smelled a rat when we started this contract and figured that you would cut me out of the job of putting the boat back together as agreed. The deal was $2400 on each end. Thats why you got the deal. A two part job. Good luck you will need it.
This is clearly ridiculous and twisted. The statement that "Most People are Good " is a vicious lie at best. I can only hope that I receive the balance of the pitiful $2400 fee I charged to ruin my life.
You cannot write stuff like this. Now all of a sudden I'm the victim. Do not Trust anyone you don't know or have referrals for. Truly Your's , Fred Brown .

As Talia's Client mentioned in the report above I would like to go on record and state in her defense that I did not give permission or authorization to Fred Brown who was someone I hired to disassemble my boat and assist me with making shipping arrangements, nothing more. He had no right to post this report and nor do I agree with the slander that this report has made on her character, In fact I was in communication with Talia throught the whole process. I know she went out of her way to try and accomodate me, In fact immediately made arrangements to have a semi truck arrive on the scene but unfortunately the expenses for that specific equipment exceeded my budget, At that point I decided to winterize the boat and Talia and partners agreed to return my deposit. I have no issues what so ever with Talia Enzer or Allure Logistics.
I would like to simply state that the allegations of bait and switch are completely false. I never felt in my dealings with Talia that this was the case. This was nothing more then a mis communication as Talia had stated that she recieved in correct information on the dimensions of the boat from Fred Brown at the time of booking.
Its unfortunate that this had taken place, but I feel it should have never been taken this far and displayed on such a damaging web site such as the ripp off report for everyone to see. I don't feel it's fair for anyone involved, most of all Talia. She did not deserve this and further more I was not ripped off of anything!!
Last but not least I have made my arrangements with Talia and Allure and have no furthur issues to speak of. I am satisfied with the outcome of the situation, I can only say that because of the way Talia handled herself throught the whole process and the sincere level of customer service she provided during a stressful time, I would reccomend Talia Enzer and her services in the future.

Well what can I say. The $3500.00 deposit that was to be paid back by now and guaranteed by Allure to my client has not happened and from what I can see it probably will drag on and on and on. They promise and promise and promise to no avail.
The boat still sets on the ground , fully shrink wrapped and ready to go and nothing, storage is being paid ..........They can't seem to come up with a tiny $3500.00 deposit. Pathetic. Do not give these people dime one until the boat is loaded on the truck, Period End Of Story.

Allure Logistics have made arrangements with the client to return the clients deposit. This is scheduled to occur this Friday 10/26/12 .
