Almeida Roofing - Almeida Industries Ripoff don't let them near your roof! worst work ever won't take calls Fort Lauderdale Florida
Almeida was hired by our condo association to do repair work on our roofs. After doing the work on my house, they left boards that were never nailed down and replaced tiles over it. My roof has since buckled so bad that it left a gaping opening down the side of my house. This has resulted in roof rats getting into my home. I have been trapping rats for 8 weeks now. They have eaten the wires off my kitchen appliances, they are in my bathtub and clothes closet and in my bedroom.
I have called Almeida repeatedly trying to get them to come out and fix the shoddy repair work they did. As much as I trap, until the roof is repaired, these rats will keep getting in.
After complaining to my condo board, Almeida sent one of their foreman's out to my house. He clearly stated that they indeed had not nailed down boards which was the reason the roof buckled so bad. He had me write a letter to Almeida and said he'd get back to me.
I have continuously called Almeida. Only to leave messages, no one will talk to me. Warren Collingsworth, the general manager did speak to me once. After explaining my problem to him, he stated that it was not their problem, and they didn't have to fix anything. I have a severe infestation now, and the rats have traveled through the other six units. I have placed 5 calls to Keith Almeida, the owner of the company. He has not bothered to return one call.
This company is totally not competent!!!! They are a RIP OFF!!!!

Resolved Claim with Better Business Bureau 11/03/06

This matter was resolved with both the complaintant and the condo association. Ms. Ann Powers first complained to the Better Business Bureau Ref:#11029419 After submitting written and photographic evidence to the BBB, the issue was deemed resolved. Coincidentally we still hold an A+ rating with the BBB.
