Altima Secret Shopper Scam Altima Scams Work from home secret shopper Alpharetta Georgia
Almost got scammed here, I've heard of all the "deposit this check and send us money right away" scams, but this one appeared different. Cash the check , wait 'til it clears then call us for your assignment, In addition the address on the check is local to my community. I was thinking maybe this local company hired this Altima company to do this secret shopper stuff. I even opened another bank account so it could not be linked with where I have my real money. It is a scam, the check was returned as "altered/fictious." I have now called the local company that is the victim in all this, thought of doing it in the first place, but guess deep down, I did not want to be told it was a scam. When I called this Altima company, I said I am calling re: a letter and a check I received, they asked why did it take so long for me to call, I said I called last week, deposited "your" check and I am calling you back as indicated, but the check came back as fictious. Oh she says, please fax me a copy of that and I will take care of it. Of course at this time I realized the scam. I was NOT going to fax them anything especially since the photo copy of the check has my account # on it. Anyway, I am sending the info I have to the local company that is the victim of this scam, they were well aware of the crime commited against them and indicated that there were many checks issued with their companies name.
