ALVINS JEWLERS DISGUSTING, DIRTY RING MENTOR Ohio
I dropped of my wedding ring to be sized. They called me to come pick it up and tried to give me someone elses wedding ring! I told the guy it is not me and argued with me for over 15 minutes! I told him my finace bought a matching set and the wedding ring he was trying to give looked nothing my engagement ring (which I had on and shoved in his face). they promised me I would have the correct ring on 06/05/08. Well 06/05 came and went. I called at 12 pm on 06/06 to find out where my ring was they promised that I would have it at 530 pm when I came to pick it up, Well folks they had it alright. However they did not clean and polish it liked they promised! When I got home I put on the ring to make it was sized correctly, when I took it off black residue was all over my finger! I had to soak my wedding ring for 3 and half hours in dish soap and periodically brush it with a tooth brush to get it cleaned! How does a ring get that filthy? I guess I can at least I got it back in time for my wedding day! I tried to call and speak with a manager who could care less and I was told it's normal for a ring to have left over residue. I have other issues with Alvins but this was the last time! The don't fix things correctly, they mess up orders, and they are rude! I will NEVER buy anything there again!
