My husband and I decided to adopt a maltipoo that we saw on amandaspuppies.com on Mon Dec 7, 2009 from Amanda Schnell. Within 2 days AFTER receiving the puppy at the airport our dog was in the hospital and diagnosed with Parvo. Our dog from the time we purchased him was never outside except for the ride home.
At no time was our dog in contact with any other dogs except for those that she had for sale at that time. When we called Amanda to let her know our dog was diagnosed with Parvo my husband and I wanted more information regarding the parents and the environment that she kept our puppy since we were too far to drive so she shipped the puppy to us. She refused to provide any information and would not even discuss the issue until we sent her all the paper work from our vet stating the situation with our puppy. She did not even sound worried that our puppy was dying which that is very sad. The only information we have about the breeder is what she provided to us which is her first and last name and the name of the website. After doing some research I found out that this lady is operating a very bad business and is getting puppies from puppy mills and not only that but she is also TRAFFICKING this poor puppies. That's why she has so many different breeds in her website and she has different puppies available EVERY WEEK. How can that be? That is impossible.
After finally speaking with her again, and after sending her all the paperwork she was requiring she was still unwilling to reimburse us for the costs we incurred due to the sick puppy she sold us. She insisted that dogs can get Parvo anywhere, and that our puppy contracted Parvo after we purchased him. But how can that be if we only had him for 2 days?  We assured her that at no time had our puppy come in contact with any other dogs or any areas where other dogs had been. We are currently seeking action against her. This puppy broker so called breeder needs to be STOPPED! It is not fair that more families suffer like the way we did so please very purchasing a puppy from her make some research and think about it twice. We are short with what we payed for our puppy and the $2,700 we spent with the vet on trying to safe our puppy but unfortunately he did not make it . PLEASE DON'T BUY FROM THIS "UNETHICAL LADY"

All puppies come with a health guarantee and instructions to RETURN the puppy if there is anything wrong. I can not FORCE people to return a puppy.

The contract outlines all procedures for puppy return.

I have purchased two puppies from this breeder over the years. The first one Molly was purchased in 2007 and when i first decided to get a puppy I wanted to be cautious about the breeder.

I found this breeder to be more than accomodating and have taken a tour of her facilities. Everything was very neat and clean. The kennels are half indoor and half outdoors with a cute little doggie door. Also the expecting mother and puppies were inside the main house in a delivery room, which is bleached daily. I was very impressed. I was able to meet the mother of the puppy when she was pregnant with Molly and the father. I also recieved pictures of Molly when she was born.

Molly was a beautiful little apricot female maltipoo and i wanted to do everything to make my home ready for her. I followed the guidelines in the contract on the website and prepared for my little baby. I brought Molly home at 8 weeks and right away gave her plenty of time to rest and a little baby playpen to play in. Amanda had said that puppies get sick when they are left to run around on the ground where shoes have been everywhere. Since i could not guarentee that my shoes had never touch and bacteria while i was out and about I decided to follow Amanda's suggestion about the playpen so she would NOT ever be on the ground.

I DO NOT agree with the person who wrote this article about Amanda's Puppies because I believe their enviroment is more than sanatized growing up and if you follow Amanda's suggestions it makes puppy training and raising simple.

My second puppy was a little tcup female yorkiepoo. Her name is Tinker Bell and I bought her at 11 weeks old and only 1 lb. She is so adorable. Since she was a tcup she required a lot more care.

She stayed either in our arms or the playpen until she was 6 months old and only 3lbs!!! I am so happy with her because at 10 weeks old Amanda had already paper trained (not perfect) and kennel trained her. She was an angel from the start.

Both of my dogs are spoiled rotten and Tinker goes with me everywhere in my PURSE!! Molly on the other hand is GREAT with my kids and is 7 lbs. She is tough and can take the kids' rough housing in stride. She has never growled no matter how my kids squeeze her.

My advice for getting a new puppy is to be sure you have the right enviroment when you bring the puppy home. NO rough housing or  letting these small little things run around the house too young. After all, I am NOT going to bleach my floors EVERYDAY like Amanda does, nor am I going to be able to CHANGE my SHOES each time i come home.

I believe you get more than your money's worth when you buy from Amanda's Puppies. The prices are reasonable and the puppies are very healthy. I had a great experiance!! I would definately reccommend her to everyone i know.
