It’s second time in a row. (of my two sales in the last year). I sold something on Amazon. Right after client got it, he is requesting refund, claiming “item is defective or doesn’t work”. Now no matter what I do Amazon will force me to do the refund AND on top of it will keep the 20% commission. Client will return another item, that actually doesn’t work. I am tired fighting it the first time, when I lost $650 just like this. With this second time my losses are $900.
From the beginning I knew for sure (and had proof!) the customer is scammng me. I spent 2 weeks on the phone with the Amazon's sellers support. This is a very long story, but in short - they don't give a f**k.
Their fraud is about misleading sellers into believeing that they are protected from scammers like this. (Not a chance.) If you read carefully their policies they create an impression that if you are an individual buyer and don't have "return policy" - you don't have to accept returns. Then anyone with a broken item could get a new one and Amazon will extort the item AND the money AND 20% comission on top of that from the seller.
