I'm happy to hear that your credit was corrected. You were smart to take notes and document everything! Good luck to you!

Dear Beth in New England, All information was documented on paper with names and any other valuable information. Although it took some time, my credit report was corrected. I still would not recommend Ameriquest/AMC to anyone.

Angela I am sorry to hear about your misfortune and I hope things get better for you. HOWEVER - let this be a lesson to everyone who reads this. When you call Ameriquest and companies like them, the customer service rep is more than likely a high-school dropout who pulled an all-nighter the night before, doesn't give a crap about your call, your credit, your finances, nor do they know what foreclosure means. So when they say to you "sure, ma'am no problem, you can pay us whenever you want" you have to be smarter than that. You have to know that there are proper channels to go through to make those kinds of payment arrangements! I'm willing to bet you didn't even get the person's name, employee number, or anything of the sort. Great. So this KID who still lives with her parents told you it was ok to not pay your mortgage for 90 days. That's a comfort. COME ON PEOPLE START GETTING SMART ABOUT THINGS LIKE THIS! You send a certified letter - you communicate via fax - you get a letter from them immediately agreeing to the new terms IN WRITING. not over the phone with some nit wit kid! As much sympathy I have for everyone who's been victimized on this site, I have as much disgust for how trusting you all are! In case you're intrested, I have some oceanfront property in Arizona..........Beth in New England
