I was hired by Michael DeSiena of Ameri-Balance of whom I had met through a mutual contact in which I had a high level of trust with and I had conducted my own due diligence of making sure employment contract was in place. Upon employment, I was asked to now report to Kirk Evanstad of Ameri-Balance of Florida in Tampa. My employment was brought on due to a client of mine in which I had brought to them in which had great potential growth of the firm in which I was hired to assist in getting the client up and running, the first month of which, was stated in my contract to be a training period.

During my first month of employment, (spending a great amount of my own traveling money, spending four weeks out of town, I was not paid for my time invested), I was becoming frustrated as I had asked time after time for appropriate materials to utilze to the necessary market and had to create my own, had never gotten business cards to utilize in marketing, was informed that someone of whom had the appropriate experience for this field would be sent down to assist with ideas...none of which ever occurred.

What did occur, was that I received a very inappropriate and nasty email from Michael DeSiena which was also forwarded to my client (of whom was quite shocked), I never received business cards, I had to re-create marketing materials due to appropriate materials for this business structure not being available, equipment took the entire month for Kirk to order which was necessary for the facility, nor was the facility set to standard and I was asked by my client to put a stand still to marketing the venture until appropriate actions were taken as he still hadn't received his contract.

I was informed by Michael in agreement of the lack of assistance from Kirk (of whom was confident from day one that this avenue of business would fail) of whom even introduced me to a group of people in Boca of whom he was beginning another business thinking that it could be a better group of people to work with since Kirk was so difficult to work with and there were so many issues with.

When it came time for my first paycheck, of course, I did not receive it. I addressed Michael of whom sent me a reply from Kirk Evanstad stating that I did not even work one day a week, nor gained in referrals for business.

If you are looking to do business with Ameri-Balance or work for them...DON'T DO IT!!! They are the most unprofessional group of business-persons I have ever dealt with. To my understanding, they had brought in another consultant to help of which worked for a couple of weeks and never received his contract. I also understand that my client still has not received their appropriate equipment and still is not up and running.

AmeriBalance overpromises and underdelivers

#2Author of original report

Thu, August 19, 2004

It has been through my experienced relations (and is strictly my opinion), that AmeriBalance overpromises and underdelivers in regard to it's employees and client relations. As it is suggested to exert due-diligence with any firm in which one may be considering agreements with, I would advise extra caution with every dot of an "i" and cross of a "t" when it comes to building a relationship with AmeriBalance. Professionalism and maintaining a positive code of ethics are two areas in which I've observed to seriously lack.
