Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

David Benton, president of American Benefit SERVICES or the Absolution Center, ABS, or DBI, or David Benton Investments is nothing more than a hasbeen mortgage broker, that rips off unsuspecting people in the insurance business.  He has you pay a nominal fee to get his training program and offers 24/7 assistance (try calling that number on the weekend, after 5pm or before 10am good luck).  He then promises these lucrative commissions, sign all these official documents, next you have to send him business.  He is basically looking for people's social security number and background information for personal gain.  I don't know if its for identity theft or insurance fraud, but Stay FAR FAR away.  I have contacted the BBB in South Carolina, and put in calls to State Attorney General.  It won't be long before the fed's catch up with this slime ball.  If you have been a victim of this vile and crude speaking thief, post your comments and let's bring him to justice before he swindles and deceives anymore people.  Your gut will tell you right away, something is fishy with this guy.

I'm David Benton. I just want to set the record straight. The information by the anonymous author in this report is loaded with inaccurate statements.

The facts are as follows:

I have never represented myself to be the President or owner of ABS. I worked there for 6 months as an agent recruiter and never misrepresented anything I was doing there. What did not work out there was recruiting agents to sell insurance.

I recruited agents in certain areas of the country for ABS. ABS was to market for leads through their marketing department for these agents and set appointments through their call center for agents to go on. The problem became apparent after about 6 months when it was showing the cost of generating these leads was exceeding the income generated by the agents. Negative cash flow killed the operation.

Apparently this guy was upset over something, I'm not sure of the details since I don't even know who this is. It's probably a good idea to post reports anonymously since the risk of being sued for libel exists for defamation.

My name is John Stratton. I am the President of American Benefit Services, Inc. We're located in Ocean City, NJ and Charleston, Sc. David Benton is not and never has been the president of our organization. David was employed as a marketing representative by our company for approximately 5 months beginning in October 2009.

To my knowledge David never represented himself as the president of our organization.
In addition, I also know of no instance where David was involved in any type of identity theft, insurance fraud or any of the other accusations you are making.

David left us as an employee in good standing. While employed with us, I also never knew him to speak to anyone in the way you have suggested.

I was just made aware of this website and your posting. I'm sorry you had a negative experience and felt it necessary to make the posting you made. Please feel free to contact me to discuss the problems you had with David or with our company.
