I have been trying to reach the folks at American Entertainment Distributors all day. Nobody will answer the phone. I faxed them a request to call me back twice, emailed them and still have not heard from anyone.

Does anybody know what is going on?

Ed...let's see...could you be Eddie Gregorian? What's the matter, did you have a couple of live catches on the hook when the Feds came in and shut you guys down??? Was your sales commission still in the bank when the accounts got frozen? This is a long term ongoing scam in Florida that AED is just a minor part of. The feds are finally catching up to these cons and it's about time. I'm sorry for those of you who lost money on this. Let's hope that they actually had some assets to freeze and hadn't already transferred the money offshore. I would recommend filing complaints with the DA in Florida and Dept of Agriculture and Consumer Affairs IMMEDIATELY if you haven't already done so. And Eddie, I hope orange is your color.

I purchased an American Entertainment Distributors, Inc. machine on Aug.24, 2004 and have not yet received it. Payment of close to $40,000 was wire-transferred to AED on same date. Now I read that the company is shut down but have been unable to obtain any official, government information regarding how or why AED was shut down. If anyone can help at all by providing an FTC or other official agency phone number or info source it would be a great help. The same goes for any suggestions of actions to be taken. Needless to say, the thought of a $40K loss to a possible scam is frightening indeed.

AED is not answering the phones ?

#8UPDATE EX-employee responds

Sun, October 03, 2004

Well if you would have read the other reports you would have noticed that AED and UTS were shut down by the FTC, because of a handful of consumer complaints from people who claimed their machines did not work, which was mearly to say they did not or would not put the time into learning how to use them or work with UTS for Telephone Tech Support help, they decided to go and complain and make it to where no one gets support for the machines they have. I feel sorry for the people who have their machines and they were working with MINOR issues that they needed support from UTS for and now they are all on their own. Good luck to you all.

Hope this is the reason why they are not answering. I feel a little better now. We'll see what happens Monday. Could be a lucky and convenient excuse??
