Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I first had an American Express Green Card in 1971. At the time I was an engineer for a major U.S. Corporation. I tended over the years to frequent only those establishments who accepted the AMEX card. I was a good customer and spent thousands of dollars on their card. I was upgraded to a Gold card and later to a Platinum card. In 1998 I had a cash flow problem and the scumbags pulled my card. I will never forgive them to the day I die.

I have been a practicing dentist since 1978 and I have made it my mission in life to destroy these scumbags. There is no telling how much money I have cost them as every chance I get I destroy their reputation by telling everyone I can what I think of American Express. I bash them while in the operating room, while treating patients, at dental meetings and anywhere I can. As a retired Army Colonel I give them the same consideration given the enemy in battle (ZERO!!).

My wife is in medicine and she has a high 6-figure income. They recently cut her credit line to almost nothing. This is in despite of her excellent payment record. She hates them also.

Let us stand together and destroy this corporate thug.

Who Your Friends Are

At times, I've made alot of money and at times, not very much. You find out who your friend REALLY are when you don't have much/any money. You always have a bunch of "friends" when you have a "bunch" of money. You went from a green card, to a gold card, to a platinum card. That was probably part of what caused your "cash flow" problem. Years ago I had a green card which cost me probably $25 a year. Then I went to a gold card which cost me $75 a year. Then I got to thinking, why should I pay THEM $75 a year to have a card. I called 'em up and told them to cancel the card. they sent me a check for $55. If I deposited the check, it was start my gold card up again and it would ONLY cost me $20 a year to have. Shredded that check. Then they sent me a check for $75. IF I deposited THAT check, it wouldn't cost me anything. I got my end of the year statement, showing me how much I had spent on my A/E card. I had spent $12,000 on my A/E card. Now I know $12,000 isn't alot of money to some people. They had made at least $600 on me. Out of that $12,000, $5,000 was going out to eat. I called my wife and yelled at her and said "Are we nuts"? $5,000 going out to eat? That's almost $420 a month. No more going out to eat. One night per week and Sunday after church AND we'll pay cash ONLY. I shredded the $75 check and canceled the A/E card. Haven't looked back since. Year or two ago I get a letter saying A/E had oovercharged me for something or other and had lost a class action lawsuit and I had a refund coming and did I wish to have them place the refund onto a card. This is for all those morons clammering for a class action lawsuit. I called 'em up to ask what the refund was. It was a whopping 42 cents. i told 'em to mail me a check which they did. I never cashed it. Put it up on the wall along with the other 20 and 30 cent checks. I do find it interesting that you hate A/E so much yet your wife has had one all these years.

All this alleged money flying around your household and you still had 'cash flow problems'? I will continue to freely use my AmEx as I will have no need to blame others for my misfortunes.

Well it is good that your wife has an independent mind. Because it is interesting that for more than a decade you have been on a personal mission to destroy them, even though your wife still had and (I presume) used the card. When you had "cash flow" problems they cut you off. In your 30+ years as a dentist have you EVER turned someone over to collections for non-payment? Have you EVER denied services to someone who had cash flow problems? If honestly have never done that then good for you, you are a humanitarian. But if you have how is what you did any different than what AmEx did when you had your Cash Flow Problems? As for your wife having her credit limit cut. AmEx along with many banks are cutting limits of people who have perfect credit histories. It is not your money, and AmEx does not have any requirement that they must continue extending you credit at the limit you had. While you may take it personally..don't it is just a business decision and not worth the stress.
