American grant department what a terrible scam this is BEWARE! washington, Washington DC
These people called me saying I was chosen to receive a grant for $7259.00! (indian woman) I asked why me? she said because i have no criminal record and im in the low income bracket. im thinking..no im not. lol long story short they want you to go to western union and send them $259 in order to deposit the money into my bank account and they wanted my info. NOT! every time i asked for the name of the company she kept repeating her rehearsed line "american grand department in washington dc" over and over and over and telling me to bring my id and cash. Please! i got off the phone and called the number back but it was an answering machine. BE AWARE PEOPLE! its a shame that knowing so many people are in need of money and someone is preying on folks. I hope no one falls for this. i immediately got online and typed in the company name and found nothing but bloggs on fraud from these people. Thank God for common sense and the internet.
