Today, I am having my Coil and furnance replaced for $2500 out of my own pocket. Never heard back from AHS or the Airconditioner Company after I filed a complaint with at the BBB. I guess this is just another lesson on the expensive road of life. Warranties are sold for profit not for protection.

Well to begin I am a former employee of American Home Shield. I was taken back by the mission statement beginning "To Honor God in all we do" and just knew I was going to be working at an ethical and respected company. NOT THE CASE AT ALL! All consumers beware of this company. Save Your Money and hire your own company to perform repairs. I have personally talked to contractors that have worked for AHS and was told that AHS actually had a rep come out and "teach" the companies how to DENY an item! This rings true in more ways than I can tell you. Basically, all of us reps are told to listen to the customer and be calm, try to find resolution... um, there is no resolution... you pay a service fee on top of the contract fee for a tech to come out to your home for 10-15 minutes and tell you that you will be hearing from AHS... rest assured this means that the tech is pulling out of your driveway and on his cell phone calling AHS to have your item DENIED! HA, they got your service fee AND YOUR YEARLY CONTRACT cost and if youhave anyone else do repairs besides AHS techs then this will VOID your warranty (and it is not worth the paper it is written on by the way) BEWARE!!!!
