To whom it may concern:

As of January 11, 2005 at 9:18 a.m. I will no longer be enrolled at American InterContinental University at 12655 W. Jefferson Los Angeles, CA 90066 (800) 333-2652. This is due to the fact that the Accounting Department was unable to make any further arrangements on my financial aid status. I deeply regret not graduating with my classmates of 2006, especially when I was supposed to attend my last year at AIU.

I have been disgusted at AIU's inability to help me to reach my education goals and have instead made demands of making a un-realistic school payments of $1,760.00 a month and a total payment of an amount nearing $9,000 (plus) before I can continue my education. The amount of $1,760.00 is a house payment, like most students attending college, could not afford that outrageous amount!

I have never had any complaints about the campus or on-line classes, even when AIU made me take classes that did not pertain to my IT degree. I have enclosed my complaint I made against AIU, not that anyone cares at AIU, but in hopes that other classmates around the country speak up and out about AIU's unethical practices.

I have had so many Academic Advisors and Financial Aid Advisors that I can't count anymore, that should have been a red flag for me, since it indicates that AIU has trouble with its own staff. It's no wonder that AIU is under is under a Grand Jury probe by the U.S. Justice Department and SEC investigation, and currently had the warning of accreditation lifted by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.

AIU has diluted my hopes and dreams, to better myself as a Hispanic woman in the IT industry to achieve and outperform in the technical industry. I was raised on welfare all my life, and this was a hope for a brighter future for me, a meal ticket to a higher paying bracket. Now, that light has been extinguished from a candle that once burned bright and strong. I thought that AIU would stand by its Mission statement, but I guess I was very wrong!

Mission Statement

We are a dynamic educational services company committed to quality, career-focused learning led by passionate professionals who inspire individual worth and lifelong achievement. Turning Dreams Into Futures.

Thanks, once again AIU for not helping me to meet my goals, thanks for leaving me in debt and no degree.
