American Leisure Group Terrible telemarketing scam Lake Mary Florida
They called from what I think is a telemarketing facility in the Philippines. And claimed that I had won $5,000.00 in travel. They said they are having a courier drop off my $5000.00 in vouchers to travel anywhere free, in a few minutes at my home. All I need is a voided check for ID purposes. They congratulated me and assured me the vouchers I won are totally free, and my check is just for ID purposes. When I confirmed I have a checking account, they then switched me to a supervisor. I think the "supervisor" is an American guy in the USA and they have a way of transferring the call from their Phillippine facility. He's actually just a slick closer here in the USA that they go to when they think they have someone on the line they can steal from.
Once slick closer man got on the line he tried to get my bank routing number and account number. I asked him why and he said to take $495.00 out of my account for tax purposes. I told him no. And I explained to him I'm in marketing and from the name he was calling me by, I knew exactly where he got my name and number. He then unleashed a string of profanities at me.
These people are predatory animals. Looking for simple and/or elderly to steal from. I know because I know where they got my name. They belong in prison.

Hello Ladies & Gents, This person seems to be confused, Not making any sense and rambling on. What do you mean by stateing numerous times you know where they got your number from? And are you sure these people scam you or sell you a discounted travel package? I would like to see some evidence. The travel economy is up 5% this year and I have read about this group and they are just promoting travel for large hotel agencies and a cruise line, PLease present some evidence as to why you believe they are a scam artist gig. -Marcus |
