so this nicely dressed young black man comes to my door with a great smile - and persuades me into buying magazines for him to earn points to go to college and win a 1000 bonus!! whoopty dooty! I should have known that it was a scam when I shook his hand and his palms were cold and clammy!! anyway, i fall for this joker and give a check for the cause - thinking that i am helping out a kid in need. he goes off, i feel like i have done something good today. then, out of the gut instinct, i go onto their website and onto the bbb and other sites and find out i just got ripped off! so, i proceeded to drive around the neighborhood to find this joker trying to scam someone else - i found him alright - when he and his two co-scammers saw me, they ran! ran like the little scum scammers they are ... into a store - okay, can't get away that easy! i waited for them to come out - got on the phone with the cops and watched them go to the bus stop. when i finally realized i had them under my radar, i stopped and told them i wanted my check back. he looked at me with the most anger in his face, i thought was was talking with satan himself! he got all ghetto with me and told me that it would come back to me! so i asked what that meant...he told me that i was wrong and that i would get it in return! well...i believe in the lord jesus and know that if they are doing something ligit that it would be returned ten fold, but i am not willing to be a sucker if it is not something ligit. he told me that my neighbors had put up more money and that it was ONLY $XX amount - well, that comes from my babies mouths...shame on him and his scumbucket friends for scamming me and my neighbors! Karma is a bad thing to waste! and just because you claim you bless someone to have a good day - it don't make you a christian!

It seems they were once/are still called Overachiever Enterprise. The (NC) Kernersville Chamber of Commerce let me know ANI's address is a mail box in a UPS store.  The Kernersville Police Department told me this scam is ran from FL and thought it was already closed.  (They advise me to file a complaint at my local Police Department.)  I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau of NC and the NC State Attorney General.  I contacted ALL magazines listed in their web site, ALL credit cards, PayPal, etc. I told them they were lending credibility to ANI by allowing them to use their logo. Also, that the magazines have no price, making it impossible to pay on line. ANI’s web server has their same scammy look: www.impressiveconceptsinc.com.

I had almost a repeat story from this "magazine" company. It was a young, African-American lady who needed to earn points and commissions for a college education. She gave a powerful message about the program she was involved in.

When reading all of the consumer reports and this complaint, I confirmed that something was not right with the transaction. I have placed a stop on the check, but I am going to do my civil duty in trying to inform people of this fraud-based company.

It happened on 11/3/2010 at about 7:45 in the evening. My wife and I had just pulled in the garage coming home from church and she came into the garage. We thought at first something was wrong and we were trying to help. Then came the "sales" pitch...

It might work!  Go to your state Attorney General's web site and file a report.  I got a letter from mine telling the jerks promised to refund the $.  I'm not holding my breath, but it might happen...  Good luck!
