This place is something else. The profess to offer rentals of RV's for families that offer the following:
"No matter what type of motor home or travel trailer your rent from American RV, you will find our rental units are clean, serviced new models that are offered at competitive rental rates."
We rented an RV from their facility to take an unexpected road trip to visit my mother, who recently lost her son to a horrible electrocution accident. This wasn't a vacation. We knew that many people would be visiting the family so we opted to have our family stay in the RV from American RV. It was a cold winter day and we desperately needed to have head in the RV to make it useable. After travelling over 700 miles with a familiy of five, we found out that there were electrical problems with the unit and that the heater started smoking, nearly catching fire. There were used condoms tucked in the pull-out couch and other fillth in what appeared to be a like new trailer.
We had enough to worry about with the reason for this trip, we did not need to have to deal with this, a unit that was NOT clean and NOT serviced. I called Chad Neff, the bumbling idiot of a manager at the facility we would later find out, who promised to remedy the situation and offer a refund "of sorts". On return, we received NOTHING, no refund, apology or nothing. He blamed it on previous customers and that was that.
I am on a mission to let the world know about this horrible man at this horrible company. I am creating websites and blogs to talk about it hoping I can reach that single person who might be planning to rent their RV's - let them hear our free speech rant. Its not worth it, they won't make it worth it, start there.
As for the owner of American RV, shame on him or her. Neither responded to our inquiries and that was a HUGE mistake. No empathy at all given the circumstances, I hope they burn in hell - but while here on this earth, I will contribute to the fire!
