Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I have just made payment 71 of 72.  Again they are stating that I owe past due fees, after 15 minutes, the guy states, oh, oh, I see where you paid the late fees, ok, I'll go ahead and fix it right now.  Well this has happened over and over again.  Now they are stating that I owe $2,622.00, and I only owe $602.59 plus this last month late fees of $29.00.

It started a few years ago and they keep changing the amount of payments due.  When Long Beach Credit Corp. had the original loan, even when I had an extension, the total number of payments NEVER INCREASED!  Americredit has changed it from 72 to 73, 75, 76 and now showing 78 payments.

I have filed other complaints.  They keep coming up with hidden costs they cannot show.  I told the man today 11/1/10, that I have paid all late fees, all interest costs at the time of the deferments and all monies incurred, all I should owe is $602.59 plus this last month late fees.  See above.

I read another report from Rip Off Reports on Americredit I called this # and no answer, I will call again and again and will follow up with the BBB of TX.  The phone # I got was 214.969.5310, extension 8825, Joanne.  You can also file a complaint online at http://www.oag.state.tx.us/consumer/complain.shtml or send it by USPS.

This is the Texas State Attorney's Office Greg Abbott.  He states that they are close to launching an investigation of this company and would like more similar complaints to do so would make it easier, as I will.  I also told the man today that I will try to get ahold of anyone and everyone I know who has Americredit and contact Channel 7 and we will be gladly to go on TV and prove how crooked they are, stealing money from people who don't fight back, and that I would attain an attorney and we will all be on TV.

Hopefully if they have messed up with your payments and keep adding monies to your account, not properly deducting amounts, actually adding here and there.

You may contact me if you like. (((REDACTED)))  a t    y a h o o

Next step is to file another report with the BBB of TX and the Texas State's Attorney's Office.  Please note above phone #.

I have a silmar issue with AmeriCredit. I have made payment #71 of 72. Amercredit told me that I owe 8K more. AmeriCredit says the 8K is for late fees. I would like to file a compliant as well. You can email me or call me. Thanks Tracy

Extensions? How Many?

You say you had extensions, meaning you couldn't make the payments.  Each time you get an extension, you increase the overall interest due on the loan.  There's no fraud here.
