I just read this article and being a former mortgage broker I know there are two sides to every story. Most people that complain typically have bad credit, lates on the mortgage, or something they do not expose. Then make mortgage brokers out to be villians. People must think why would a loan officer not want to give you a loan and make money? Most loan officers and brokers live off of commission. This doesn't make sense. 99% who complain are consumers who can't get approved. Every situation will not be perfect. However, you have to ask yourself if this customer was such a wonderful prospect why would any of this have happened? I've been to Amerisave's website and read hundreds of good comments about Amerisave and Mr. McCallahan as well. I also know when most people claim they went elsewhere or were approved in days its a lie. All lenders use the same guidelines and if one lender can't approve it pretty much the same throughout the industry. I read these articles and take them with a grain of salt. Just like politics, sports, and everything else in life. It makes you wonder about the people that take time to write these articles? If you have lates on your mortgage, or any other unsatisfactory item that makes you a higher risk you should not go write articles and tell one side of the story. Tell everything...two sides to every story. As a former loan officer I often wonder how many disgruntled people would go and write an article if they received good service. Not many....
